The Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey today, making him the scapegoat for the team's sloppy play. Is he just a product of having Josh Allen at quarterback or someone the Steelers should consider as Matt Canada's replacement?

I like Dorsey and the Buffalo mess is not on him. The scheme could be better but Chris Pratt is the one turning the ball over every quarter. They were the number 2 offense last season and are still top 10 in scoring this year. Is he the best candidate out there? No, but he's miles ahead of the crap OC in Pittsburgh.

Has anybody ever been fired the following year after winning COTY, because Brian Daboll might be headed down that path? But I would like to see him as OC. McDaniels would be my first choice though.

Well, Sean McDermott wasn't gonna fire himself, so I guess Dorsey is the fall guy.

Should've had the base defense on the field so they wouldn't need to sub guys last second for the field goal.

Lots of excuses from the Bills.

Play a game without turnovers and then evaluate the coaching.

oh yes, he is a SCAPEGOAT. watching ALLEN is terribly frustrating! and balls were clanking of WR's hands yesterday. and they have NO running game.

If the Steelers finish 10-7, and actually win a playoff game, I'm afraid Canada ain't going nowhere

    wellllll....

he is not under contract, so i'd disagree

this offense BLOWS (we can't win a playoff game with that lack of production)

Can you imagine we squeak in and then ownership falls for the whole we are improving and just need to be more patient. OMG, the worst nightmare possible. I want all three gone. I'm glad we are finding ways to win but man we need more discipline on the team and a new regime. Hope we get it but I feel another extension coming for Tomlin, followed by a next year meltdown of Pickens shortly during next years season.

Hmm....I don't know, but there have been some fired not long after. I mean how long was Matt N, Ron R, and Jason G still coaching after they won....I don't remember exactly, but it was very long was it???

Have You noticed today that Qbs aren't bad , or good....of they struggle, or do bad it's always the coaching, or the scheme is predictable. LoL. It's kind of funny. I remember when Qbs just weren't good....now none are....it's the scheme, and I'm not just talking about here. Hell one of the top scoring teams, and now the Qb is playing bad.....now automatically their scheme is predictable. LoL.

Odd situation there in Buffalo. They have Mike Shula on staff, yet they went with Joe Brady.
There's a whole rat's next there with ties to the Panthers.

Dorsey is a odd study too.
I've never met him and really don't know a ton about him.

If I was looking for an OC, I'm probably going to get one of the young guys off a good staff and back him up with an experienced 'Sr Offensive Advisor'

At least for now he is free, lol. One if the issues of replacing someone is timing, if you are in the playoffs the focus is not on replacements, if you are out a lot of guys you might want to interview are tied down because of play offs. I know interviews are generally granted, bit damn I want Canada gone so bad, lol.

In his 6th season Allen has 96 turnovers that is ridiculously bad. He's just too reckless with the ball no matter who the OC is.

For what it is worth (not much) Cowherd was talking about Mac Jones and one thing he brought up was in his discussions with others Jones does not take hard coaching, while reportedly KP and some others mentioned thrive and desire it, like you I want change, don't see is happening at the top, and sadly can see something exactly like you said.

People seem to think it's a done deal that Canada will be gone next year, but I wouldn't be so sure about that. Really depends on how things play out the rest of the year, so any talk of a replacement OC is a bit premature at this point

If A and B happen I doubt at this point it’s because of a miraculous improvement in the offense

Therefore why would they keep the architect of a poor offense regardless of the won loss record

We are currently the 28th ranked offense

So why do you think he would be kept

Tomlin will be beating the drum to keep him. And Art II will listen.

Because Art II is finally seeing the run game take off. he has the blinders on and this was the biggest point he talks about the one interview he does " We have to run the ball better"

I honestly think Canada will be returning. It should be blatantly obvious to everyone on the planet Kenny is a significant part of the problem. Bringing in a new OC with a new scheme and new playbook only delays his development. We are running a pretty basic scheme and I think that’s by design. Tomlin et al know Kenny is struggling and they’re keeping it simple for him and the rest of the young players on offense.

This is true. If we make the playoffs and lose, I think there’s still a good chance that Canada is back….

We have to choose one or the other. Kenny sucks because our crappy OC is holding him back, or Canada sucks because our QB play has been atrocious and he just needs someone that can complete a forward pass. Keep the one you believe in more. Early in the season I had belief in Kenny and thought Canada was just trash. As the year has gone on, it’s very apparent that it’s not the OC causing Kenny’s issues so my faith is wavering.

Either Kenny sucks, Canada sucks, or they both suck. Keep one, the other, or neither. We CANNOT go into 2024 with both of them.

If this is the case then we have to strongly consider replacement options at QB.

That is the excuse they used last off season and that worked out well

Why repeat something after it has proven to be a failure

If Canada goes maybe just maybe Kenny quits being part of the problem

I have never been a fan. My thoughts have always been, and people have laughed at Me about it..., but ah well....I believe He is elite in talent, and an above average Qb. I hate this style of play. Same reason I don't like Lamar. He's(J. Allen)a lighter skin Cam Newton. JMO
