I start to worry when Greeny and Rich Eisen like what the Steelers are doing.

Cool thing about being drunk is that it wears off.
Whatever it is that you got probably isn’t going away.

I watched some of it it for one reason only, to see what Tyler Bagent is all about. In a six degrees of separation kinda thing my daughter-in-law’s sister is dating the backup quarterback at Shepherd University where Bagent played in college. He’s apparently all the rage on campus now so I was curious about him. Looked pretty good, managed the game well, no TDs and no picks. Looked sorta like Kenny Pickett.

We are up 5-3 on the season. Lots of teams worse than us.

I’m older than you so it can be longer

So sometimes the tail end of one wrecks into the beginning of the next

Well he said “might” and if not for the defense he might be right.

He should have said the worst offense and that would be more on point. Packers and Panthers are up there for worst offense, too.

The point he was making though is this team being 5-3 is remarkable and he’s not wrong there.

Today they just really need to take Jones out of the game and they should be 6-3. Can’t imagine that offense scoring much against our defense. Love is playing worse than Pickett.

Beg to differ. The Steelers don't even have a good defense. The ONLY reason they have the record that they do is the one stat that is most predictive of wins/losses in the NFL.... turnover margin. The Steelers have only lost one game where they have won the turnover margin.

So it's not a good defense. It's simply an opportunistic one because turnovers are all about opportunity.

Their special team were one of the worst ever and they had too many turnovers on offense....It was a classic Norv Turner team!

Yards is still very important and this is hard to win constantly when you have on average 100 yards less than the opponent in each game but the steelers are 5-3 because of their big play on defense and they are 5-0 in one score game so far

If they go far in the playoffs with this recipe, I will be very happy, but it would also be a first in NFL history,so this is unlikely but I will take it if they are able to do that

Remember when everyone used to say that Rivers was a great quarterback and that he just never had a good enough team around him? :roflmao:

That Chargers' roster was stacked with talent for so many years, and they could never win anything. Pro Bowl players everywhere and couldn't even sniff a super bowl.

And many forget that the chargers have make the playoffs only twice in the 2010s with Rivers as QB and they were lucky in 2013 when the chiefs kicker missed his FG, otherwise the chargers would have been out of the playoffs!

The steelers have outscored the opponents 35-3 in the fourth quarter in the last 4 games....This is why they are 5-3

hmmm OK so then we DO have a good defense. Right? By that argument the only thing that matters is getting turnovers I.E. a defense that produces turnovers is a good one. So please state your position again?
