Seriously why not call him up to see if he would come take over OC for the remainder of the year.

Matt Canada is Mike Tomlin’s OC and that will not change until this off season. Other teams fire coaches that are underperforming during the season. Rooneys do not operate that way. They might demote them and promote within the organization but they usually don’t go outside for help.

Doesn’t he always go back to the Patriots? Wouldn’t be surprised to see them can O’Brien and get McDaniels and a new QB next year.

Josh would be rock solid for Kenny ,though.

He had 4 years remaining on his contract and the Raiders are obligated to pay him. Damn wish I could find a job like that.

i think they promised the ball boy the next shot at OC so it's a moot point.

Josh has failed as a Coach now, again.
Not sure if he has a design to go anywhere other than New England.
But, he does have enough income to chill out and do what he wants.

He's an arrogant one. He probably wouldn't not fit in well here at all.

I'd sure like to be a fly on the wall in Omar's office.

I’m not sure Belichick is going to be there next year. He’s the one who’s always reeled McDaniels back in.

Having said that, McDaniels is a dang good OC. Like many other quality coordinators, he couldn’t make the leap to HC but if he’s allowed to only focus on the offense he can be successful. I’d take him over Matt Canada any day.

So was Todd Haley but I’d take him back in a heartbeat. Good coaches and coordinators are sometimes arrogant. But if they get the job done, who cares whether or not they’re Mr. Congeniality.

He made Matt Cassell look fairly competent.

He was also Tim Tebow’s head coach when he had his most success in the NFL.

I would take Daniels but that won`t happen. It will be some guy MT played with at WM and has been toiling in college. Maybe one day this will work. I want to take a chance on a young guy with upside.

Vegas -2.5 at Home is very solid play this week.

-HC get fired angle usually works in all sports....lol

I wouldn't want him as a head coach, but as offensive coordinator, he would be a massive upgrade over Matt Canada. It won't happen in the middle of the season, but it probably should.

Is he allowed to work for another team since he’s still getting paid?

sometimes that locks a guy down.

Wasn’t Todd Haley a ball boy when his father worked for the team?
