I would trade a 5th rounder for us to not go three and out on our first possesion.

Jaylon Johnson is available - He is probably an upgrade, even at depth. I am a bit disappointed in Peterson.
Marcus Sweat is available - but he's a 4-3 DE.

I'm a bit torn though. I don't want to give up draft picks.
I'm a little more of the thinking about being sellers and grab a pick.

To give that some perspective we could be doing better with Baker Mayfield

I would like to see them give Pickett one more year under a new OC and hopefully better run game. With that being said if we could get a high pedigree guy who isn’t a fit in his current scheme like Kaiir Elam for a fifth and Levi Wallace that would be great. If Elam panned out here we wouldn’t need to draft cb in the first next year. We could go with a RT or LT and figure out where Jones plays after the draft. In the second rd I would go get the Center. At some point I would draft a young QB to replace Mitch. Then you just cut salary in drafting Mitch’s and Okorafor’s replacements. Use that salary cap space to get one more DT (Seiler from Miami) in FA to solidify the run defense. I would also use that cap space to get a legit slot corner in FA. If you solidify the run defense and boundary corners and slot corner you now can allow Minkah to play as a roaming FS on the back end to back up the CB’s and provide splash instead of wasting him in the slot and in the box. Kazee plays much better as well when Minkah is back at his natural position of FS.

Or they could get Cooper Dejean from Iowa in the first and a RT tackle in rd two. The tackle class is deep. Dejean could be another chess price at slot CB or SS. You probably would have to get your center in FA again and I don’t know if there are any.

I saw an interesting trade floated, Jerry Jeudy.

Team really does need another WR. Austin and Robinson really aren’t it.

    Oh yeah
Nothing broken but pretty much a strain of every muscle tendon and ligament in my hip and thigh
    But getting better every day
I’m sitting on the deck of beach house so I have no room to complain
I hobble out to the beach once a day
There are people in the world who would swap places with me in an instant so I’m considering myself lucky

At some point the steelers will need a true rebuilding....What they have been trying to do for several years now(since the killer B's era is over) doesn't work!

Yes, I would agree if we were to trade our best players like Watt for the good of our long term and also for Watt since he deserves to have a real chance to compete for a super bowl...It will not happen for us in the next 3 years at least, unless there is a miracle

They had to give up a 7th to get rid of their starting QB?

well, this would be another reason why we remain cellar-dwellars. You can't bring in FA's and call them failures after 7 games or have a 2nd yr. 3rd round picks be losers either. IF these 2 fail, we will continue to FLOUNDER

Should always be looking to upgrade if the price is right. Austin and Robinson are ok but they can do better. Austin can still improve but Robinson is what he is at this point.

I agree in principle - we need help at WR. DJ will be gone after next year and there should not be an extension.
    Austin needs to pan out.

    Juedy would have been nice.

looks like WR in Rd. 1 or 2 next year!
    OL and WR../

just not enough FA's and draft picks for us to get to what we need!

I don't trust Canada enough to make that judgment anymore. Veteran slot receiver gets maybe 5 targets in a game. Fastest wr they have and they either give him a go route or hand it off in a jet sweep where our giant oline can't hussle to get in blocking lanes. It's like watching the Raiders throw to everyone except Adams and wondering why they are losing. They game plan is crap and until they have a real OC and passing game coordinator Swann and Stallworth wouldn't help this team.

Maybe his offenses should touch the end zone a little more often.

They gave up on Dobbs. He wasn’t following the plan and kept the Cards competitive in games they had no rights to be. This was the tank year

Not sure tanking can fix the dumpster fire that is that organization. They have had more busts at QB than they have had winning seasons in the last decade. They have literally given up on a QB so they could draft the QB that their newly hired coach wanted. Decided he didn't need to study film, gave him a huge pay day, used him up , fired the hand picked coaching staff, traded for a WR who just wanted money, traded for a TE who was on his career down swing and made the pride of Erie PA they most profitable rb in fantasy football 3 years in a row. I really think they should think about moving back to the Midwest or sacrificing a couple of the buckets of KFC to bring back some good karma
