I feel like he called a solid game today. I hate on the guy enough. I'll show some love when he deserves it. Hopefully the Steelers build on this.

I'm not ready to give him any awards yet, but the play calling was definitely better today. It wasn't just run for a yard, run for a yard, failed 3rd and long pass, punt, repeat, repeat, repeat.

 

Keep winning like this and he’ll be our 4th coach since 1969

 

1quarter successful play caller isnt that impressive to me.

 

For once it felt like he understood the flow of the game in the second half. The first half playcalling I still felt was wonky.

 

Not sure if he got his head out of his arse after the first half or he Googled how to be an OC at halftime, but the second half was much better

 

Don't throw away those FIRE CANADA signs just yet.

Plays were pretty consistent all day acutally, For whatever reason, the line decided to start blocking about half way through the 3rd quarter, which allowed for some longer passes, which then opened up the run.

 

The Bills are trying to run off their OC in Ken Dorsey.

I wonder if we could swap Canada for Dorsey?

 

it would have looked better if we had some intelligent receivers that can catch a pass and go back to the huddle without being d**ks. let's add a RB that actually runs through the open hole that's there for him instead of his dancing with the stars rendition.

How much of that was getting Diontae Johnson back? That created more one-on-one matchups for Pickens, not to mention the plays Johnson made. I wouldn't give Canada much credit for that.

 

They did enough to win the game. Adjustments were made for the 2nd half, so credit there. I still would like to see the scripted plays to start a game have success at least one week.

 

That was funny! Sometimes it looks like he gets pissed when we score.

 

There are posters here who are similar or just disappear

 

Especially when Pickett changed the play for the Harris TD.

Someone must have told him there's more room in the middle of the field, than there is two yards in from either sideline.

 

Canada has taken a beating for 2 weeks which lead up to a lot of the pre-game shows.

One of things I heard all week was "Why does he want Harris to run east-west, when his strength is one cut a go?"
This is usually followed by something about "Poorly designed" and "Highschool offense."


Anyway, what I saw was about the same as I saw around midseason last year where they switched to power run and clock control.
That's great but you can't sputter around at the beginning of the season and dig yourself a hole.

I am glad Johnson is back, I think I had taken him for granted a little. He does complement Pickens very well.

 

Game W, and that's what counts. Give him his props. He's been suspect but yesterday, he did his job.
