With as bad as our passing game is, will it really matter if their starter is out? Just asking.

 

I have no idea how good their secondary is, but I find it interesting they have a steelers cast off starting with a 2nd year 6th rounder, whose back up is a rookie 6th rounder. I did find this article The surprising defensive stat that the Rams lead the NFL in after 6 games (msn.com).

This is a team that has 11 rookies on the 53, man roster.

I'm more considered about the Rams run game. I think they've got a 3rd string RB starting, and our track record vs 3rd string RBs is not good.

 

Witherspoon is playing out of his mind right now. PFF has him rated as one of the best CBs in the NFL.

 

It would be easy to join into the 'we let guys go and they play well elsewhere' banter, but it does make one question why (especially in this position group) we just cannot get it right. Players leave one organization all the time, at times with less than stellar creds and find success with a new team. The reasons are varied, but in the areas we have had recent issues (specifically O line and secondary), after bringing in a myriad of players, what is the common denominator that the issues remain?? The answer is not as simple as others having success in other places, and making decisions based on Cap management certainly comes into play, some you lose simply because of expense. You can't have all pro or even pro bowl at every position, but perhaps scheme and coaching has something to do with it??

Royce Freeman is a powerful runner and a load to bring down. He's no slouch RB. Also, Darrell Henderson can run with power but his real threat is his straight line speed. He can get downhill fast. Contain and tackling will be huge vs these 2, just like always.

I brought that up on another thread. He is often in position to make plays, but doesn't make them, just like what we saw with the Steelers last season.

 

How much better is T. Edmunds now that He gone to better coaching.....oh wait....that team has already traded Him away....Well how about Bush???? LoL
