The Steelers game against the Colts just got tougher now that Richardson is out for the season. Gardner Minshew is at least a competent NFL QB and makes the Colts a lot tougher team to beat.

    Agreed.
Also I would like to add.....is this a shock to anyone that watched this Qb play in Florida??? Outside of the combine.....Minshew is the superior Qb between them.

Minshew is just a run of the mill, journeyman of a QB in the NFL. Stop the nonsense.

For some unknown reason we let run of the mill journeyman have career days against us.

Live by the sword. Die by the sword. Richardson has missed time with 2 injuries, both suffered on designed QB runs. The NFL trend is towards dual threat QBs. If you’re going to run the QB several times per game, you’d better have a backup plan.

As far as Richardson goes, at this point in his young career he’s a QB who HAS to run a lot to move an offense and put points on the board vs. NFL defenses. He’s not a guy who is going to drop back, make a quick read of (for example) whether the defense that was showing a Cover 2 look pre-snap is actually rolling into Cover 3, with completely different areas to attack. We see what the year 1 result of that is. For his sake I hope he uses the down time to really learn the game so that he can potentially be more of a true QB when he gets back on the field next year.

Which is still at this time better than Richardson.
Anyone that watched Him in Florida knows this. Hell My Florida friends were shocked when he was drafted so high.

The owner/management did him no favor. Someone stated above Minshew is a journeyman, and that may be true, but he can be solid enough to let the young guy learn. The investment they made to get him is now forced to start Minshew anyway, instead of breaking the kid in during the year, he got broke and is now out.

True, you're comparing a vet with a raw Rook. That's all I'm saying. If Minshew was that good, hell, he'd be starting somewhere in the league.

I agree with that but we're talking the Colts here. Logic doesn't always work there.
