Yup. This is my take on it as well. Now the other area which we need to touch on to make it fair is how many players have left for other teams and did not do well.

One player that left for Pittsburgh West that I really liked was James Connor

Don't force me to make the valid comparison of Daniel Snyder to Trump. Oh, wait...

I think the thread starter needs to make a list of every player that left the Steelers in the past 5 years. Then we can all look at how they are doing career-wise today.

When I think about coaching, Patriots comes to mind. Belichick looked like a freakin genius when he had Brady. Now look at the Patriots

You could add Andy Reid to that list. I live in the middle of the State with lots of Eagles fans. You should have heard the anger toward Reid at the end of his tenure, now look at him…..

I think it's a little early to evaluate most of the players mentioned. Still a lot of games. It makes Me think of all the people that jumped on the J. Dobbs bandwagon( trying to say see it was coaching )when he played against the Cryboys a few weeks back. I noticed they quickly disappeared, and J. Dobbs is still looking for His 2nd win in 14 games with 3 different teams.
All I'm saying is let it play out ....then we can compare what's what.

All of those guys are just average players, good for them if they're doing well, but all of them are easily replaceable.

I think Dobbs is suffering from the same thing that bit the Niners this week and that is injuries to quality players. I picked Dobbs up in fantasy because of the bye for KFP and before the Herbert and he did well, not spectacular but he was competitive for a few weeks then the injuries started to drag them down. I still hope he succeeds to a certain point but he needs to know by now that the dream is just a dream and his exciting life's work is waiting.

Belichick the GM is a bigger problem for the pats....In the last 10 years, his draft have not been good....Belichick has been a great coach for a long time, his first 3 super bowl,Brady was very good but he was not what he became after that

At this point Belichick is washed, like Tom Landry was at the end

Going back to Chad Brown was a long stretch. How many teams did James Harrison bounce to before he found his place back here? Even then he was ready to quit football if he did not find that place. Do we want to go way back and talk about Johnny U and Lenny Dawson??

Fringe players are often let go, find another opportunity and sometimes thrive in a different system, happens with every team.

When you see a draft where he picks 3 G's and 2 K's you have to wonder what Kraft is thinking in keeping him.

I think Brown was an example of a player who was great for the Steelers but not elsewhere. Of course, that wasn't entirely true, as he earned the second of his two All-Pro selections with the Seahawks.

Don't remind me about Unitas and Dawson. Failing to give those guys a proper opportunity is the perfect examples of the disfunction of the organization before Dan Rooney took over day-to-day operations and they hired Chuck Noll.

How did we screw up Dodson so badly? He is one of the better Guards in the league now.

That has to fall strictly on coaching.
