If actions here are any indication, I doubt he's old enough to drink from the grape juice cup at church.

And we're right at 22 PPG, just below average at 17th. Not as bad as the 30th YPG for sure.

Jus imagine this team with an average offense! They could be considered above average!

Without the Big Play they would be 1-4. But, you can't always expect the Big Play. Consistency in the trenches, in pass defense.

If the pass rush doesn't have a day the secondary will get shelled. Can't trust Wallace and Peterson. And Porter Jr just isn't ready yet  And unfortunately Minkah has not been playing his usual All Pro self.

Hoping the Big Play component continues. If not its going to be a long day. The cure is getting this Offense into the now playing a 60 minute game.

When you are 30th in yards, you need luck to not be in the bottom in PPG....In games that the Steelers will not have turnovers or that the opponents will not make crazy mistakes like the Ravens last week ,the steelers are going to give up a lot of points as we saw in the last few playoffs game of the steelers...I believe their numbers will be better during the season but they will be exposed when they will play against a quality offense and they are clean

Right we played the 9ers, giving our average a boost the wrong way, but it all evens out; we've also played a lot of poor offenses that SHOULD give us boosts the other way (however paying the Texans DID NOT do so). Houston should NOT have dinged us for 30 points, but they DID (keeping Tomlin's record vs. bad teams intact).

We did keep the Ravens to 10, well below their average, and that was WITH their starting QB this time. But it took a miracle for that (several dropped TD passes, great int. by JPJ).

You continue to make inferences that aren't supported by the small samples of data you're pulling them from. It's fair enough to state that your opinion is the defense is as bad as or worse as the offense, but there just isn't enough data - particularly combined with your own cherry-picking/misinterpretation/mistakes in analyzing it - to make any conclusive statement.

FWIW, the only statistically poor offenses the Steelers have faced this year have been the Raiders and Browns. The Texans actually rank 11th in points and yards per game. And implying they finally beat the Ravens with Jackson as if that were the tougher task isn't really the big deal you're making it out to be. In his six starts against the Steelers, Jackson is 2-4 with 4 TDs against 7 INTs and 7 fumbles, a sub-60% completion percentage, and the worst QB rating of any opponent (66.8%) he's faced.

Also, while JPJ did a nice job blocking Beckham out to make the INT it was also a poor throw by Jackson (and lazy reaction by Beckham to defend it).

    The “explanation” not excuse

And it is a true statement

Sure there is a lot of room for improvement

A hooga, a booga a beehive in the chooga.

Read it and weep, hot shot. The Steelers are the 30th ranked D, period, no cherry-picking needed, them there da facts of the matter. If the facts don't go along with your state of delusion, go complain somewhere else.

The Steelers rank 31st at time per possession per drive at two minutes 14 seconds

Yes that is a major factor

But hey facts are not your strength

Oh, I see why you didn't like my so-called "third-grade" response to you in another thread. It was two grades too high for you.

    Sorry about that.

Maybe fans that go to the games get pissed off at the team but really are mad at themselves because they just spent $100 on 2 beers and a hot dog.

You presented old data as if it was new. You started the thread with this, ignoring points, turnovers, and sacks because they don’t fit your chosen narrative.

Actually My Friend. He is 1-3 as a Starter against us. He played in two more games against us, but not as the staring Qb.
Also add in He has 20 sacks against Him, and His only win came against Duck Hodges....it overtime.
