I know a lot of fans were antsy to get the show moving in 2023 to see how much the O improved with Kenny in his 2nd year and another year for Canada to improve now that he finally got rid of Ben (who was blamed for Canada's poor offense). We were told how the team knew they had to "score more and make splash plays."

So we are 5 weeks in not too soon to check out how we are doing.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team

We are now the 30th ranked team on offense. 30th out of 32 teams. We are gaining 268 yards a game. No, not in "passing, that's 268 total yards a game.

Well, you may scoff, "It's points that really matter."

Last year we only scored 18 PPG, and everyone knew we had to produce more than that or we wouldn't be going any where.

So this year, we are producing 15.8 PPG.

Yes, we have actually decreased our PPG by 3. The teams who score less than us are the NY Giants, Patriots, and, that's it. Again, only 2 teams are weaker than us.

The legit contenders, just like last year, are scoring 25+ points per game, a healthy 10 more PPG than we are scoring. Some are even scoring over 30 PPG.

Yes, some like touting how we are in 1st place in our div., etc. But realistically, it doesn't mean squat unless we significantly improve our PPG. Tomlin and Canada ain't gonna get us there.

Look, I'm really not trying to be a d!ck here but how many different threads do we need to discuss how bad this offense is? I'm pretty sure we are all aware by now.

I will add this though, it will be interesting to see once DJ comes back if it changes the efficiency of the offense at all. I am hoping that it does.

It was awful also last year in the first half of the season,so this is nothing new....2021 were awful for the entire year outside of the fourth quarter. And the average right now is at 15.8 but if you remove the 2 defensive TD vs Browns and the safety vs ravens, this is 63 points in 5 games,so less that 13 PPG....But Canada is still our OC :roflmao::facepalm:

I offered specific stats that REALLY paint an accurate picture of the situation instead of generalities on the situation. No one made you read it.

Take the NFL on a game by game basis. A lot can change during the season.

"I hadn't realized it at all, but now that I've seen these stats and facts presented to me, this offense is really really bad!"

Well, based off of what I'm seeing regarding the separation from the receivers, that is one of his strengths. You rather march Gunner out there?

0 Tds last season, guess that is seperation! Offense has long been tanked since 2018! This is not Canadas fault, he wasnt even here in 2018. The common denominator is MIKE TOMLIN!

Never said that! I was implying we got bigger problems all around. You agree?
Yes the Oc needs to go, along with DC and HC

Im not sure if its the coaching or the players we got. One way to find out rather quickly is hack all the coaches.

But, but you said it's not Canada's fault. That implies that he is not even part of the problem. I do agree that this team has multiple problems and yes, Tomlin may be one of them but that does not mean that Canada is still not one of the main issues with this offense.

You are not wrong that it has been trending downward for quite some time. However, at this point we know Canada is a major issue and we're not even sure if Kenny can be good even with a new O.C. These things need to be figured out fairly quickly.
