Mike Tomlin says there's going to be some changes

Arians was stubborn, he probably pissed off Art ll by not changing his ways, Art was the one that announced Arians was retiring IIRC.

 

Tomlin said they couldn't use their jumbo package with Muth out, that's why they didn't run the ball FWIW.

 

Think we all know that's a cover up. Muth's blocking isn't good. If you count on him for the block just kick it.

 

Noll didn't win any Superbowls without Bradshaw .

 

That's planning to fail where I come from.

 

Either way it's a loser. Tomlin has a benchful of stiffs who could go out there and fall down in front of the defender just like muth does.

Rumors on the web about Rooney wanting Canada fired. While I don't want a douchey owner sticking his nose into football Ops stuff like Davis in LV, Jerry Jones, etc. If he wants him gone then why is he still here?

 

Sometimes, I wish Tomlin would say the true thing like that in front of the media!

 

I don't like Deuce at all but I have to believe if he wanted Canada fired, he'd fire him. He's the damn owner. If Art is that ridiculously beholden to Tomlin, that he'd keep a worthless sack of **** OC just to make Mike happy, we're more screwed than I thought.

 

a different voice in the headset won't make much difference without execution improving throughout the offense. where is glen thomas in all this? he was brought in to help improve this all. it has gone the other way.

 

It would make a big difference if the opponents didn't know what play is coming for the Steelers

and again i ask where is glen thomas in all this? he was brought in to help fix it. another thing is if the players are not executing the play that is called to it's fullest extent whether they know it or not, our players are getting beat one on one. missing blocks, running into pressure, running into each other, not hitting open holes in the run game. it's not one phase that is failing it's multiple phases that are failing.

I don't think Thomas is a good coach

And it's hard to execute when everything is contested by the opposing defense.Just in 2021, the Steelers were much better in the fourth quarter on offense when Ben had more power with the play calling...It was easier to execute his plays than it was with Canada

And Canada is a terrible coach but he is not alone in this coaching staff...Our o-line coach is below average, Austin is not a good DC....overall this is a very poor coaching staff.... We need to change this completely as quickly as possible since it hasn't been good for at least 5 years.

Generally a franchise QB means a lot of great wins but not always a SB. Another poster listed QB's who won SB's but were not franchise QB's. Not a lot of them. On the other hand you have Marino, Brees, Rodgers, and Farve. Those guys have been around for like 40-45 SB's and have a grand total of 3 SB's between them.

All of Tomlin's moves are just rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic after it hit the glacier. His "changes" are a full-blown joke. Oh, he released 3 no bodies from the practice squad to add 3 more no bodies. Brilliant, that's gonna make a huge difference. Are you f---g kidding me?

 

The next game Cowher got the great idea to call the offensive plays along with his HC duties
