42-21 to KC (21 pt margin)
    48-37 to CLE (11 pt)
    45-42 to JAX (3 pt)

    (21+11+3)/3=11.7 pt margin

If you meant the total points allowed by the defense, what’s the QB have to do with it?

Ob: Steelers, please fire Canada immediately and “retire” Tomlin at season’s end.

I hear ya, but we didn’t lose any games by an average of 45 points. Not sure where you’re getting that at.

Believe me, I’m well aware of the scores. That’s just not what the other person said though.

I wouldn't take what Vince Young claims a team is for much

For me it’s not the SBs, it’s the way things have ended so many times, even with a guy who we all (mostly) agree is a HOF QB. The team just found a way to fail in the biggest moments.

2017 - we get to 13-3 and host Jacksonville. Tomlin runs his mouth about the upcoming AFCCG vs. New England and the team doesn’t show up for Jacksonville.
2018 - Probably our team most equipped for a run in recent years. We start 7-2-1 and then have a historic 3 game collapse vs. AFC West teams, including the pathetic squandering of a big lead at home vs. the Chargers and the loss vs. the Raiders where Tomlin stayed with Dobbs for a while because he didn’t think we needed to get Ben back in the game.
2019 - Somehow we get to 8-5 without Ben. It’s the NFL story of the year. Oops. Lose 3 straight to end the season. No more story of the year. Just another.500 team.
2020 - Debacle vs. the Browns… I’m not even going to get into that. I have no disillusion that the 2020 team was going to win the SB, but it absolutely should have disposed of Baker and the Browns to make the second round. That was embarrassing.

I gave Tomlin a pass for 2019 but not for the others especially in 2017 and 2018,it were just awful.Keeping Keith Butler and now Canada for so long is inexcusable and the replacement of Butler (Austin) is not good too

I always assumed that was due to the context of whether he was going to keep Lebeau's zone blitz scheme when he was a Cover 2 guy. And let's be honest, it was a Tomlin soundbite.

I do get a bit tired of hearing the "Tomlin is not an X's and O's guy", when reports from inside the facility typically say otherwise. There's more than enough to criticise about Tomlin that can be seen on the field, so I guess I find that particular criticism superfluous.

I think the drafting point is very persuasive, though. For me, the Steelers have never really settled into a draft strategy since the 3-4 became used more widely and the edge rushers weren't as readily available. Some of the drafts were also hamstrung by a focus on attack (e.g. the Mendenhall/Sweed, Harris/Muth drafts) when investing in the o-line could have been more productive. The draft strategies often seem to be a bit in two minds as to where the team is trying to get to.

Hard to figure. I realize that reports from inside the facility suggest he’s an Xs and Os guy, but from a fans perspective it seems that every time he goes up against real good Xs and Os coaches, he gets his butt handed to him. How many times in really important games, regular and post season, have the Steelers come out seemingly unprepared to play. Their gameplan often times doesn’t seem to have any purpose. They are simply reacting and not being proactive with their approach. He seems unable or unwilling to make adjustments during the game to stop the bleeding. What did he say in his press conference this week? The team just needs to be more physical. I’m sorry, I can’t buy the narrative that he is an Xs and Os guy. If he is, he’s not a very good one.

‘sorry was drunk. I meant giving up 45 points.

I have no clue what QB has to do with it… STD keeps saying coaches are great if they have HoF QBs.

Yeah, I mean you're not winning many games when you average giving up 45 points per game. I don't care who your quarterback is in that situation.

It's easy to say that about Andy Reid , and Mahomes now. Lot of People said the same about M. McCarthy, and A. Rodgers......I think they are both looking for their 2nd SB.

A backup qb said it and being he won the Heisman it became a big deal being all over the media. There is this thing in the NFL called a salary cap. Most teams get fairly close to this cap and few try and save $ like the pirates. I know u know that but this phrasing of all star team or whatever was so dumb and such a dumb soundbite from a qb who at the time lost his will to compete and settled to be a backup.

Uhhhh . You do know You can sell out for a year, or two right....examples : Tampa Bay, and Rams. You need to really go back , and look, because it was called a dream team for more than just V. Young saying it. It's part of the reason A. Reid was let go....because He helped put it together, but unlike Tampa, and Rams it failed miserable.

Got it. Free agency + backup qb = dream team. It was called dream team bc the backup used those words

So Tampa, and Rams didn't sellout for one Year??? That's exactly what the Eagles did that year. Instead of arguing go look at who they brought in , and how it effected the cap for them. They sold out just like Tampa, and Rams did....the only difference is it backfired, and was the reason Andy Reid was fired. Anyone that was paying attention during that time can tell You this.

Not arguing. A backup qb coined the term in an interview and they acquired free agents. If he wasn't a former Heisman winner he'd have been laughed at. I'm glad you can explain to me your thoughts though.
