Mike Tomlin says there's going to be some changes

PADDED practices are coming up! - trying not to laugh but that's what Tomlin is saying.

 

THAT is a choice I can respect!

I'd suggest streaming it, but computers are expensive.

 

It is a reasonable change when you see a team getting its ass kicked up front and tackling like ****, but refusing to look at personnel on the field and in the coaching staff is just him kidding himself.

 

Tomlin is a lost coach with no answers it’s scary he does not know what to do he’s got no plan should be fired ASAP

 

CBA of 2011 limited padded practices and two a days, No look at our playoff record since 2011. I would venture to say without going back in looking we've had more "lose to teams we shouldn't" as well since 2011. Just a hunch. We've seemed to lost a bit of our edge since that agreement took away a bit of our physical preparation. Totally anecdotal I get it but we have to adapt most other teams have.

True but we all knew we didn't have a QB to get us there. Give us a real QB then and we win some Lombardis with our D. Same in 90's.

 

Matt Canada is so untouchable for the Steelers.....They are going to give Matt Canada every chance for our offense to be in the top 20-25 and if that is the case, they will keep him for next year since he was better but next year the problems will be the same and the circus will continue

tomlin - "we will practice. We will practice in pads. Obviously."

reporter #2 - "Why did you run the play you did on 4th and 1?"

Tomlin - "We had injuries and Jones and Washington were in, so we wanted to make it harder on them obviously. Hindsight being what it is we would line up even further back in shotgun obviously."

mentality.

 

Seriously we are practicing in pads on Wed. That is the big change!! I hate to say this, because it will make next week suck balls, but we need to be blown out again this Sunday to perhaps make Rooney force Tomlins hand on Canada and other changes.

 

I'm not surprised that the "changes" Tomlin mentioned aren't personnel or coaching related but I am disappointed.

 

What the hell? That dude was definitely high…. Like, crazy high.

 

Some other changes being made…. Steelers signed OT Obinna Eze and WR Denzel Mims. They’re also working out TE Joel Honigford.

Changes they were forced to make, but changes nonetheless.

You're assuming it wasn't Rooney's decision to keep Canada to begin with. I bet you it was.

That dudes deflated response is every fan right now. Seriously, we are gonna practice harder, no shi$ isn't that a job perquisite to be a Pittsburgh Steeler, hell an NFL player. Like going into the grocery story and seeing prices going up every week and knowing nobody is doing anything really to change that.

 

That makes little sense to me. Cowher fired coaches and had the defacto GM (wasn't an official title yet) fired. But a coach of 17 years, and Tomlin's stature, just doesn't have that kinda power? That's a ludicrous bet. And because of his blind loyalty to Canada, the Tomlin experiment needs expire.

 

Why on earth wouldn't they just re-sign Gentry off Cinci's practice squad? Why? Makes zero sense not to.
