Tomlin has had game pass him by and Kenny is not a franchise qb

I have Kenny p the benefit of the doubt with having Canada as oc but he is not talented enough to take us to promise land. CJ has had two amazing game in his first three starts and Kenny has had zero in all of his starts. Lucky for us , it is a good qb draft but our lousy management will keep tomlin Canada and Kenny and draft a d lineman to sit the bench his rookie season. Rooney s have had game pass them by too total dumpster fire.

 

It doesn’t take a franchise QB to win a Championship. You do need to have an excellent coaching staff which is what this team does not have any longer.

 

Who was the last team to win a championship without a franchise qb?

 

Brad Johnson? Him and Dilfer are the only recent two I can think of.

 

CJ is a rookie on a crappy team and he is lighting it up. Kenny looks like a bust and his coach sucks too

If Kenny continues this, who is to say Kahn and Weidl won't consider options in 2024. As the OP stated, very strong QB Class coming inbound. Never mind the strong class, as I have now stated in multiple threads but also have been stating since Week 1, Tomlin's proverbial sun in the NFL is beginning to set.


Who is to say this new HC along with the new regime will continue to roll with Pickett?! Very un-Steeler like to give up on a Rookie?! No doubt. That said, look for the team to at least consider a Day Two option come 2024; Kenny's performance pending his return being the deciding factor here.
