Really wish they had a business man special. Afternoon game would be a hell of a lot easier for me. I tend to close my eyes going over Walt Whitman bridge.

I used to have those. I hated the ones where one song would end on one track and start on another, and it would fade out midstream before clicking to the next track.

I bought a 66 GTO and it had a quadrophonic 8 track and came with one quadraphonic tape

it had Uriah heap easy living a great tune

it sounded perfect in quad as long as you had the gearshift shoved up your ass

Does this have anything to do with how the game looked after halftime?

Seemed to be a lot of smoke or something taking all the color out of my TV after halftime.

Funny thing is the "Myth of the 12th" man is real on Defense. The NFL's highest scoring year was the year without the 12th man during Covid in 2020.

The 2020 season finished with a total of 12,692 points scored, the most in NFL history. The total also obliterated the previous high-water mark by more than 700 points, shattering the former scoring peak of 11,985 set in 2013 and finishing as the first season over 12,000 points, per NFL Research.

I believe that fan noise can and does affect the game. Anyone that has ever seen a white out at Beaver Stadium knows what 100K fans in a stadium can sound like.

No when I say the Seahawks myth of the 12th man it's because they artificially enhance the crowd noise by designing the stadium like a giant pink taco and then get cocky about how loud their fans are and how great they are. Put those fans in a 75,000 seat stadium built in the 80's with open ends and show me how they can rock it.

Being a Hawk fan, I saw all I needed to see of that white out in Beaver stadium. Doesn't help that the Hawks have about as anemic as offense as it gets. Amazes me how sometimes Iowa mirrors the Steelers in ways other than the color of their unis.

It was very smoky after halftime. Lil Wayne performed and all that smoke wasn’t just from fog machines.

That would be awesome! The crowd noise would fade out, the track would switch, then fade back in about 10 seconds earlier so you didn't miss any of the cheers during the track switching. Just like music 8-tracks. There are still some songs that I can't erase the memory of exactly where it fades out and fades back in. Like Boston's first record.

The Bengals did that in the Freezer Bowl against the Chargers until they got caught and they shut it.

Speaking of 8-tracks and Boston's first album. True story.

My brother and I had our slot car track in the basement. We had our 8-track player, and that Boston album was one of our (and our friends) favorites. One day the tape quit working. So, my brother takes it apart and finds there was some sort of defect with the housing. His solution? Borrows my dad's Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison tape, takes it apart and put the Boston tape in that casing. Worked great. All was well until my dad wanted to listen to Johnny Cash while he was working in his wood shop. He didn't seem to think there was anything funny about it. Had to buy him a new one AND Merle Haggards Greatest Hits.

That’s funny. Reminds me of when I was back in college the new Meatloaf album came out which the guy I car pooled with absolutely hated. Probably because I listened to it constantly. One day on the way to school I was playing the cassette and all of a sudden it starts slowing down and slowing down some more and then finally comes to a screeching halt. I eject it and it’s about 5 feet worth of tape caught in the player. The guy I was with says it finally ate that damn meatloaf! I still laugh about that to this day.

On NBA All Star weekend it's bumper to bumper traffic, so I can imagine Super Bowl Weekend traffic will be even worse.
And the out of town entertainment flowing in will be crazy.
