There was the mix up with Connor Heyward that almost resulted in a pick 6 but other than that he was a steady game manager that didn't do anything egregious that cost them the game.

That play with Heyward looked more like Heyward’s fault. The way that scheme is typically drawn up is with the back flattening out and that’s what Pickett threw for. He couldn’t know Heyward was going to break upfield.

Thank god that wasn’t a pick 6 or it would have gotten ugly quick. Heyward broke up field when he shouldn’t have but Matt Canada still sucks. I would have given it to Boswell.

Pickett played a pretty solid game. Used the wheels when needed. Dropped a dime to Austin III. His performance is a positive sign. Hopefully it continues.

Hey I don't argue with Steelers Digest. I went to High School with Bob Labriola. I was not in his click but I do remember his love for the Steelers. Always had their gear on. He is pretty damn good IMO.

    well

he would be the GOAT if Marcus Peters could catch. Pick 6 might have done us in.....

I give the Game Ball (again) to TJ - he scared the FRICK out of Garrapolo, he saw TJ ghosts the entire second half.

exactly. it was a thing of BEAUTY, but yes, one good drive. and a GREAT pass to CA, which I stated 2 weeks ago 'now is your time Calvin Austin'.

Kenny missed DJ, that is for sure, but all teams are missing key players, have to deal with it. Still shocking to me they cannot work 88 and 80 into the games.

Watt won first game and Heyward second. No doubt in my mind Watt will win again this season. Kind of thought Watt should have won second game to. I'm not sure of this but I think Steeler Digest tries to spread the love around.

He was just "meh." Nothing but a Mason Rudolph, if we are lucky, at this point.

Well, if that's the best we got with Kenny, we aren't going anywhere.

As someone else said leading up to the game it is a get right game for Kenny. He looked much better and hopefully he can build off that and get his confidence back. He wasn’t great but a good start to fixing what went wrong.

    I don't worry about Kenny.
He faced 2 top defenses and then came to Las Vegas to face one that isn't bad.
I've seen better QB's melt against the 49ers.

These games are learning experiences along his career path.

And Matt Canada is on no one's list for 'The fix for my offense.'

That said, TJ Watt is my player of the week.

And on a side note: I am already sick to death hearing about Taylor Swift.

Yep, appears that he is making some progress. Let's hope it carries over to the next game and continues.

it was a step in the right direction.

hard to step backwards from where he is, but on the road, rusty 1st Q - got it on track some last night.

a running game is every QB's friend.

Look, they can give the game ball to TJ Watt every week. He draws multiple offensive blockers to himself nearly every play to try to stop him, which creates betteer situations for everyone on the field. We all understand that. This is just a shot in the arm to Kenny Pickett. He played a good game and they wanted to reward a young player in a big spot.

That would only be true if you don't count a three-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that ends with a 72-yard touchdown pass as a good drive. Even then, it ignores some other good things he did.

Well... Pickett is already more "clutch" than Dak Prescott. :lolol:

Pickett has an obvious hate club here.
