What happens if.....

I should know the answer to this but; what happens if we win the next 2 games and the ravens lose the next two games? That puts three teams at 9-7

 

The Steelers will win the division being 3-1 against the Bengals and ravens the ravens would be 2-2 and the Bengals 1-3

 

Steelers get the 4 seed and a home playoff game against indy too i believe

i won't further because i hope we get in first but it ends with us playing at home against the ravens

Not necessarily. Even if we win the division, the Ravens can still end up with the #5 seed I believe. We could end up playing the Ravens

 

This would only happen if Indy also loses their last 2.

 

Which isn't impossible by any means. That's why I said not necessarily. Everything is still up in the air

 

Here's another crazy scenario.

Miami loses today, giving them 9 losses.

The Steelers win. The Ravens lose.

Then the Steelers go into week 17 knowing that

if they win, and the Bengals beat the Ravens they win the AFC North-

but if the Ravens beat the Bengals they still make the playoffs at 8-8 even if they lose to the Browns.

all speculative of course.

Of course all of this is meaningless if we lose to the bungholes today: With all of the oppertunities the steelers had to have this division wrapped up it's a pathetic epitaph to a season that showed a plethera of in-eptitude, it's almost as though they never had any intentions of moving forward to the playoffs, all the talking is over now, they either win today or they can watch the playoffs on TV with the fans and leave us with the disgusted feeling of how they blew a season by playing beneath their potential...
