I’m still gonna claim he just had a very bad game, perhaps the worse he has had his entire life.

Is the purpose of this post to just say Kenny sucks? Just trying to understand what the point is looking back to 5 days ago, all we can do as fans is hope that this doesn’t continue and look ahead to Monday Night.

should have, could have means nothing.

I posted, and I would like You to show Me one time where I have ever said KFP sucks since He's been on this team. I stand behind him. I have also said He should get this year , and next year to prove it.....This was meant for people who were saying it was all the OL, and coaches fault.
Again facts over feeling people. You don't need people to tell You things.... you need to see those things with your own two eyes, and this guy provided the film for You to do that. What You do with it is Your own personal life.

Washington and Pickett need to be best buddies.
He was wide open a couple times.

He needs 2 TDs Monday night.
    It would just look right.

The is Zero reasons for a HOME team to slip ( also Peterson ) !!! You come out for pregame warm up’s , test your footing on stop/starts and cuts, you know the field better than anyone and you have the ENTIRE Equipment arsenal at your disposal !! Go change your cleats before kickoff!!

That may have been the case but the throw should have been further downfield. DJ was behind the defender and had to come back. It ended up being a jump ball which is not something that would favor DJ.

Finally got time to sit down and watch this breakdown. I thought it was very well done and showed each play from the pocket perspective, the all22, and explained the concepts. Looks like the plays were there and we just did not execute. I have to put most of the misses on Kenny as the video shows. Vs zone, KP should be picking defenses apart with DJ, Pickens, CA3, and Robinson.

Since that debacle I have seen numbers showing Kenny plays worse against zone than he does man. Would explain a lot.

He’ll figure that out, that will come with experience.

I got through most of the video. The narrative had an handful of incorrect observations, but it was helpful overall.

There were a LOT of problems with the passing game. It’s not just Kenny, or just Canada, or just the O line. All of those were contributors (though I think it was at least 50% KP). A couple of things that really stood out to me:

    1. It seems like we have limited pass plays where the QB and receivers read man or zone, and adjust routes accordingly. Was it design, or were receivers misreading? I don’t know. It certainly wasn’t every play, but it was frustrating when it happened repeatedly.
    2. Many of the “open” receivers identified by the narrator weren’t really open. For example, on the first interception he was talking about his Robinson was open coming across the field and complained that Kenny looked at him but didn’t throw. BS. The safety in the middle of the field had eyeballs on that all the way and was in position to jump it and beat Robinson to the ball, or at worst arrive simultaneously with the ball and break it up. This was a bit of a trend. I have heard claims that receivers were open all day, but in many cases there was no throwing lane because KP would have needed to throw over the LB (which requires more touch, less velocity) and squeeze it in before a DB could get to the receiver (which requires more velocity).
    3. There were many culprits on the O line. However, Dan Moore was the worst by far. He had Kenny feeling blind side pressure all day, and Kenny didn’t handle it well. The interior guys all got beaten fast a few times which was toxic as well. I have one play in mind where Cole just got torched on the snap to ruin the play before it even got started. The 49ers are great up from on defense, so it was a tall order, but they’ve got to be better than what we saw Sunday.

I could go on and on. KP definitely played poorly, but he was in a tough situation, and I do think that play design and play calling played a key role. There’s a lot to fix.

I seriously want the camera angle of TE Washington in the Endzone with a TD, towering over his teammates with wild Steelers fans behind them.

    I see it.

Again....people don't listen to him watch it. You said the safety was watching Allen...LoL., but the CB wasn't watching DJ???
Allen was open....and I don't know if the guy said it. Because I only watch the video....I didn't listen. I don't need someone to tell Me....I can see it. Example....on that play Allen was way more open than DJ. Hell He was open on the beginning of the break... I can't see why people have to be told anything. It like someone else talking about ....I can't wait till so , and so tell Me what they think. Turn the freaking volume down, and look for Yourself. If You actually think DJ was more open than Allen in that play well I'm wasting my time typing.

His play vs zone was one of my concerns heading into the season. It will be interesting to see how the browns play tomorrow night.if they play a lot of zone and Kenny struggles again expect every team on the schedule to follow suit until he figures it out. Could make for a long season.

I have the same frustration. You see a mistake made and it should get corrected. But then you see that same mistake again, and again, and again. THAT falls on coaching for letting it continue, just like players that keep getting called for the same penalty. Players are not executing/getting penalties/both, coaches have to step in a stop it even if that means the bench. These players have to be better and the coaches have to get it fixed.

This is as open as you will get in the NFL. This is the interception when he threw to Johnson. Not sure if the is the play that Elvis was talking about but this was the correct read and if he can’t complete this pass we are in a lot of trouble. The defender I have circled isnt going to get there and the defender behind Robinson has no chance. That is wide open.

I was at that game in Philly thankfully in a corporate box but it was full of Eagles fans and me and one other guy that were Steeler fans. Game sucked arse and got out of control quick. What a total waste of day that was.

Well, he wasn't going against the cupcakes he was in those 7 games either: NO, Carolina, LV, Cleveland, Indy, ATL, Balt., with backup QB. That's a lot of cream puffs.

I'm gonna go ahead and re-put this out there: I'd rather have Creed Humphrey than Muth.

No, that wasn’t it. I must have mixed up two plays. I’m not going to go back and rewatch the disaster to figure it out. My point was more broadly that Pickett played poorly, but was definitely not the only one to blame.

That still wouldn't explain missing throws, or not seeing the open guys.
