It is a groin injury. The only thing that gives me hope is that they let him try to play through it. Either that was an incredibly stupid decision or it is something mild.

I was pissed when I saw they let him back in the game.

 

The plan is, and has always been, to finish the season strong and get to 9-8. That way everyone talks about how great Tomlin is for ending the season strong.

in that vain, the rookies are reserved for end of season surge to a winning season.

 

Nice recap as always B&G. I agree with all of this, even the fantasy part (although I couldn’t bring myself to start Aiyuk against our boys today)

 

The preseason was fools gold ... I knew we had a lot of new pieces. It might take a couple weeks for it all to gel.

That could be the biggest downfall of the season ... if it takes 6-8 weeks for the line to actually play together. There are a lot of new players on that line.

Or, maybe the real "Khan Job" was bringing in all these new guys and thinking we were actually better?

Ultimately the whole game sucked but to start a season with the 2nd play of a scripted jet sweep I was like come on I don't want to watch another yr of a chip Kelly offense.

 

I've been waiting 6-8 seasons for the line to actually play together.

 

I have been on record in stating that the secondary would have its growing pains. I left the Offense out of the equation for the simple fact of being this should have been a well known fact. Hell, go back to the early stages of the 2022 Jacksonville Jaguars.


Even Trevor Lawrence struggled mightly out of the gate entering his second season. Time to see if Kenny can right the ship.

 

I wouldn't put too much blame on Canada for this loss, I mean that early jet sweep sucked, but Pickett accuracy was just terrible.

 

I wish I wasn’t right about the preseason not meaning much

If were really that improved we shouldn’t be whooped by anyone - specially in Pittsburgh.

 

They just drafted a NT in the second round this year, I doubt they will be drafting one in the first round next year.

 

Poorly coached team is poorly coached. Same old story. Art doesn't do accountability so the bad coordinators remain. I do believe the roster is improved but the offense is very young and Kenny's performance today was really disappointing. The DLine is relying on an ancient vet and a guy who is frequently hurt. Shame they're wasting TJ. Watt is an incredible player.

 

I guess they can stop with that Pickett nickname Big Ken

What a major disappointment all phases were including the coaches. Like they weren't prepared. Seen this before.

The Niner's made it look easy. They were prepared. The Steelers were not.

Can't change it. The clowns will come in and be on there high horse after dismantling the bungles.

The ship best be righted. This is a divisional game. An early must win.

 

They have one on the practice squad, Fehoko. I expect him to be called up if Heyward can't go. Also they just drafted one in Benton who was getting some push when he was in there but wasn't a stand out.

I guess so much for the highest paid defense in the NFL.

 

Just Seamalu is new in the starting 5.

 

The NFL has a lot of good teams. JMO>

 

What the players are paid is irrelevant if the game plan sucks. Either we are paying too much for the wrong players, or we are unable to orchestrate their talents to be competitive. JMO>
