Who here thinks the Steelers don't deserve playoffs?

Green Bay and Giants were 7-7 at this point when they won the super bowl.. ( wishful thinking I know)

 

Maybe this is Haley's profile? I mean AZ went to the SB at 9-7, maybe they are just gonna win out and take the hard road?

Uh, no, looking at the game results.... this team has no business in the playoffs, they'll just embarrass themselves in their one game.

Look at our record:
vs Teams with winning records (Wins: Cincy, Wash, NYG, Balt) 4-3, the most recent wins were against teams falling apart (NYG/Balt)
vs Teams with losing records 3-4 (Wins: NYJ, Phlly, KC)

Not one of those wins was against a legitimate super bowl contender, none of those wins was against a team feared, well, except the NYG, but they just got crushed again.

Nothing has been impressive this season, our most impressive win was either arguably against a bad NY Jets team or against Washington when their WR's had 10 dropped balls.

Sorry, I'm a fan for life, but this team has not been prepared this season, period. Too many mental mistakes and too many injuries.

 

I would agree with you of being healthy but If a player is in the NFL he was a star once upon atime. I believe if you give Victorian help and pactice he could be an able body to if not maintain enough for the offense to do their thing. If Ike come back we can give Victorian more help. So regardless if he a back up anything is possible

If they make the playoffs, its because the rest of the AFC is worse, so based on that fact, yes, they deserve to be in the playoffs if they make it.

 

we were one and done last season and was painfull if we go to the playoffs i would like to believe in something , if we go out immediately ..for one season i would prefer draft inthe middle 10

 

First of all let me start off saying that you are a Troll and not a true fan. Just joking O'Donnell and by the way I hate O'donnell too. You should have ask this question on Sunday right after the game because you would have gotten alot of people to include myself to give you alot of reasons why we shouldn't go to the playoffs but now that I've calmed down........ if we get in we deserve to be in just by the rules that are set in place by the league however, I don't think we will go no further that the steps are to your front porch. This team is missing the killer instinct, heart, key players and are just clueless on how to put away teams.

Yes they deserve to get in, the only question is what team will actual show up is the real mistery question. Reading the players comments on the website they understand what they have done to themself but what are they going to do about?????? They need a us aginst the world mentality at this point or its going to be ugly.

I think they can make the playoffs. But can you really see this team going into Denver and beating Peyton Manning and the Denever defense or going into Foxboro and beating Brady and Co.

I seriously think we can beat Houston, because I think we match up well with them, I think we could hang all day with Baltimore because we have proved that we can with two back up QB's. I think we could beat the Colts if we had to.

But, from where we lack good talent is area's, where the Patriots or Broncos will kill us, and that is rushing the passer and making turnovers with our defensive backs, and we just can't do that.

 

How about a real fairweather fan? All these we don't deserve to be in the playoffs posts are just silly. It's so simple, get one of the 6 seeds and you deserve to be in. I think some just have a fear of failure complex. Or they are so spoiled to the point if they don't feel we can go all the way it's a waste of their time and emotion.

 

Right now they dont look like a playoff team, but that can all change in these last two games if they smoke the bungles and clowns then they will look like a playoff team going in, it's all riding on these last 2 games, if the team wants it bad enough it's with in their grasp, the question is, do they want it bad enough to take it????

 

Agree!!! I think the best two teams should play for the super bowl but that usually doesn't happen. giants didn't deserve to be in the playoffs neither did a 8-8 team that had less of a record then a 10-4 team who did not make it. The only criteria is to get in at any record.

The way the NFL sets up the playoff scheme it almost guarantees that each a year a team that isn't a playoff caliber team is going to get in. This year we may be one such team - assuming we can win out.

I'd just as soon make the playoffs - who knows if Ike's healthy and Troy, James, and Lamarr get back and the offense gets its act together we could make a run. It's not likely but if you're not going to win 5 or fewer games you might as well at least make the playoffs.

 

Actualy there will be 12 teams in the playoffs, and all the regular season records are wiped off the slate, all 12 will have a record of 0-0, how many 1 seeds are a lock to play in the superbowl, ive seen enough 1 seeds lose their first game and not even make it to the conference championship game, it is true true that regular season records have little bearing on who will end up with the ring, like I said the steelers have their playoff destiny in their grasp if they want it bad enough to take it, but they are down to their last chance to get it, actualy it's hard to believe they are still alive at 7-7, most years it would already be over them, but the clock is ticking on their playoff chances, and they have to get in first before we start worrying about how far they will go after getting in......

 

Let's just suck for Teo.

 

We deserve to be in the play-offs because we're the Pittsburgh ****ing Steelers. The league should keep us a permanent spot simply us for blessing them with our presence all these years.
