I wanted them to grab another corner and Desmond King has some solid years to bring to the table. Excellent waiver grab!

I'm definitely happy with this move. I just don't understand why Pierre is still on the roster.

Nice job again by the front office, slot CB was a definite worry. Hopefully he stays healthy

He doesn't appear to have much of an injury history so hopefully that holds true.

So, who gets bumped, I am assuming King is being add to the 53 man roster.

Did we put someone on IR after submitting the 53 names. Is Pierre finally out the door?

Have we traded the extra punter to open up a slot?

This is the backup punter who has been cut

I will say this for Khan: he sure ain’t afraid to make moves. They all won’t work out, of course, you will get the occasional Melvin Ingram or Miles Jack in there, but if some part of the team is lacking he takes action to try to fix it.
I imagine the King signing means we could stick a fork in James Pierre, ‘cause he is done. Practice squad eligible?

Pierre is a good special teams player and costs virtually nothing so I wouldn’t be sure that he will be cut but hopefully they won’t have to put him on the field on defence

Some of the moves of the previous GM were late moves or trades because we had to, felt good but many or most did not work out. Omar has totally remade this team, 20 something new players, 6 of the 7 draft choices made the team. I have no understanding how he was interviewed in recent years and never given a GM job, but so far very glad he did not go somewhere else.

Could be. Most are talking about him being just a slot corner but he has played outside as well. Solid grab off the waiver.

His being versatile will help if they don't want to start Porter Jr right away.

Peterson is an all time great but is a little long in the tooth. This will be interesting how they utilize him.

I don't think he is as good as Haden was at that same point. Also, Haden was an outside corner. King is primarily a slot guy who has played both.

Perhaps this means Riley will focus more on safety.

He has never been what Joe Haden was.
Not saying He can't be great here....Just say about on the previous team. Haden was a outstanding player on a bad team before He came here.

This is a solid signing. I think far superior to Sullivan playing the nickel.

What a great preseason addition! :herewego:
