injuries

nobody seems to be talking about a few guys that have been nursing injuries lately.

ogunjobi

heyward

daniels

herbig

these are pretty important guys to have out. two on the defensive line and two on the offensive line.

anyone heard any news?

With the two on OL I do not think they would have moved Dotson if there was anything significant. Ogunjobi, because of past issues in the same area might be concerning.

 

daniels is the new one i have heard nothing about. what is his ailment?

My concern is Tomlin has a long history off brushing off questions about injuries when they're much more serious than he lets on. I've seen numerous times when he says a player has the regular bumps and bruises, but goes on to miss games. Tis but a scratch.

 

That was my thought as well. If Daniels and Herbig aren't going to be ready to go Week 1, that trade was a huge mistake. I'm hoping the deal is an indication that both are going to be fine and they sat out against the Falcons mostly as a precaution.

I think that is the case with Heyward. Ogunjobi is the one who concerns me. I don't think we are going to see him against the 49ers, which is a tough game to be without a guy who can stop the run and create pressure up the middle.

 

They didn’t say on Thursday. Just that Green would be starting for him.

 

Did either Herbig win a starting role? Cam will go vs the 49ers week1. Who’s gonna keep him from playing? If Larry can’t go week1 I’m not worried. The DL has been deep all preseason.

 

I’d assume we get some news on this around a week from today

 

On todays depth chart both are number 2 and they won’t be moving up
