    Use Pickins every chance we can. He is good but let’s see how good he is. If we don’t MT will have an issue with him. I think we made a mistake with Claypool, nobody really pulled out the talent this guy had or has. The coaches need to do the job they are paid to do.

    Pulling out the talent is quantified with the person having a desire and ability to be coached to bring it out. I think Chase has as much physical and natural ability of nearly any one drafted in the last 10 years, it seemed/s he was more interested in building a brand name than working to improve his talent. When DJ first got the drops, during a nationally televised game they reported he was out hours early working with the jugs machine. In spite of what we believe, his drops diminished dramatically. If it was just the Steelers perhaps it would get buried, but reports earlier this year were coming out of the Bears org. about Chase, and they were negative. I guess we will see, but hard to build a brand when you do not do the work to keep the brand relevant.

    That's why I was glad that they didn't resign JU JU. His #1 thing was his brand crap, that's why players couldn't wait to blow him up.

    This.

    To quote Kevin Durant;

    "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard"

    Chase had the talent like you said. Just didn't put in nearly as much work as he should have. Rather, he will put in just enough to get by. George possess both.

    When a player like that has both with the desire and perseverance to match?!.... Best of luck to the Corners who face him.

    ..... they will need it.

    I think they said this to me at my club just to get me going but they compared Pickens to AB. Not talent level but head case level. I don't see that but I think they are pissed my team won a meaningless pre-season game and theirs didn't.

    George at times likes to clown around, saw a video of how he got the look int the pic taken on draft night, he had bought a suit thinking he would go in the 1st round, did not so 'acted out' lol. Thing was (and seems to be) he did not really take it that seriously, just had fun with it. Hoping he can keep that attitude with the success we hope he has, there is a fine line between a clown, having fun in the moment, and becoming a Primadonna clown. I personally love it when a guy does his jos to near perfection and keeps things light while doing it.

    I think JuJu was a negative influence on Claypool. Brought him into that whole building your brand thing and that became more important to Claypool than playing football.

    If Claypool had DJ’s work ethics, it would be skys the limit for him.

    one of the things I noticed quickly, Chase was supposed to be able to fight for the ball, he got a couple of PI calls in his favor and nearly every catch he missed (that was close) he was looking for that call. Seems minor, but it just seemed like if he could get the 'easy' call it was all good. I know that's oversimplification, but if just struck as a wrong attitude.
