He's not wrong but did he say anything?

Tomlin wouldn't like the 8 fumbles in 43 games. Tomlin would like Taylor is a workhorse RB that you can just feed all game. I wonder which part would win with Tomlin.

8 fumbles in 43 games is not great but at the same time it's just 1 fumbles per 5 games so a team can live with that when you have a big production with that

The Taylor's situation with the Colts right now is going to be ugly....Irsay seems to be very stubborn and doesn't seem to care if Taylor is playing this year or not.

Irsay is an idiot, but he is not wrong in general here. RB's like it or not are in a hard place, one report I read (for what it's worth) is Taylor's agent wanting 18 to 20 million a year. He is not getting that, not close. The CBA was voted on and agreed to by both parties, that one position who often bears the brunt of physical abuse on O, but get's decreasing value is just a fact of life. All the top backs could sit out and there would be a plethora of guys waiting to fill the gap.

They could try and organize as a separate union, but doubt they get recognized because they already have a union binding agreement. I think it's ridicules how the position has devalued, but when you have 32 teams scrambling to find a QB, and guys like Daniel Jones command 45 million a year, then you manage the CAP. more than enough RB's.

The english is not my first language, so it will happen to make mistakes like that

Anyway, the rest of my point remains the same. 8 fumbles in 3 years with the number of touch he had, it's not great but it's not awful and sometimes we have to live with that, because of its great production, especially in 2021.But for his contract, he has no leverage and with Irsay, Taylor could have the worst by this crazy owner...

The grammar was not an issue. A RB fumbles every 5 games and then asks to get paid franchise money, is not ideal. He had a great year, then he had an injury year. This is why the RB market is where it is.

Jonathan Taylor’s current situation with the Colts ONLY.
Do the Colts have their franchise QB? Is their OL and DL set for the next 2-5 yrs? Do they have a top10 defense in place? Do they have a true #1 and #2 WR? If YES to these questions, now you pay the RB. If NO, there are more important positions to address than RB, even if it’s Jonathan Taylor.

If the Colts don't want to keep Taylor, they should trade him for the best offer, but it's true that the value of RBs is very low right now in the NFL, so Taylor is in a very bad position!

Wow, it's almost like Irsay just wants to say FU, they have him for 3 more years if they want, not much he can do.

Honestly what could they get, he is on the last year of his contract, unless a team wants to pay him or they trade maybe a 3 or 4. Heard this morning Seattle's 2 top backs have unknown injuries that appear they might be out a while, just saying that because stuff does happen, but there are still quality backs available on the market, and more when cuts come.

He said something very similar about Andrew Luck as well when teams were talking about asking if he was healed and interested in returning to football. Pretty much said Luck was the Colts ball and nobody was playing with it period

I actually feel badly for Taylor. He has no leverage and is contractually tied to Irsay, who is a known chocolate starfish (attempting to circumvent profanity filter while making point).
Long gone are the days when a team was identified with a running back who played for them for years and years (Floyd Little, Leroy Kelly, Franco…). In today’s NFL, running backs are considered ready for the glue factory when their first contract is up.

Taylor, Cook, Jacobs, and Barkley should form their own flag football team and dominate the beer league.

The problem isn't the position... at least not just looking at the surface level.

The issue stems from the fact that the NFLPA balked about the idea of removing the tag along with other financial benefits for the players. When the players didn't stand up for themselves during negotiations is when they lost all their leverage. They had their shot and gave up in the end; not surprising since their is no cohesion let alone unity between players.

Now players wanna whine and B!#$% about not being financially compensated?! After signing off on what they agreed upon with the Owners?! Piss off.

Mind all of you this isn't aimed at Johnathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, SaQuon Barkley or the Running Back position as a whole. This is aimed at players from other positions who make far more and believe they must make the abnormal contracts that players like Aaron Donald. Never mind the positions, if the players really want to actually fight against this, then the next CBA should be a good starting point.

Now, regarding Irsay?! Is anyone surprised?! This is the same Irsay that ruined Andrew Luck. Dude is a complete idiot and is now front leading for the Worst Owner in the NFL. Never mind Taylor, other players either want out or will stay away! :lolol:
