I do that exactly the same. Although even though I prefer pie....I still will eat cake . I just hate the icing on most.

Chocolate with peanut butter icing is my favorite.

I also like Red Velvet and carrot cake... and pretty much any cake.

When I was a kid growing up my mom would make me a raisin pie every year for my birthday. Now the only place I can find it is at a Amish roadside stand near us.

LoL. Of course, but if not I will substitute down home lobsters(crayfish, crayfish, crawdads, mudbugs, or whatever people of different places call them) lol. On a serious note....I'm going to try this.
Also have you ever had crawfish pie???

I’ve not had crawfish pie, but I have had a lot of crawfish prepared various styles, especially when I lived in Houston over 20 years ago. I reminder my dad coming to visit me back then from Connecticut. He loved Cajun blackened steaks and fish. In his mind Cajun = blackened. He was excited to go to a real Cajun restaurant until we walked in and people were eating buckets full of mudbugs and sucking the heads. He got a queasy look on his face and said “let’s go somewhere else.”

Hey desert rat, any chance you remember the incident where Soupy would open the back door for a guest?? It was a children show. Well one time he opened it and they put a naked woman on the other side. Needless to say it didn't show on TV but his reaction was priceless. I actually watched that show. I was little boy and couldn't figure out why we didn't get to see the mystery guest. Years later I learned of the incident by pure chance.

Soupy was a good Navy man like me;)

From delicious cakes to nasty fish that swim in muck. Brought to you by TSF message board. :)

Apology to you guys who like that fishy stuff. My son is a Bayou boy and sends me pictures of his dinners that pretty much gross me out.

LoL that's funny. You My Friend should find Yourself set before a nice cheesy crawfish pie. I've had a lot of different ones, but I had an ex that made the very best I ever had. I believe it maybe why I stayed with her the longest. LoL. If She didn't hate me now ....I'd get her recipe for You.

Never saw that episode but did see a later outtake where Soupy did the bit about naming his fingers and apparently said his middle finger was the "Producer(s)" finger. I don't remember him when I lived in Pittsburgh but he was on when my family headed out west to CA and my much younger brothers watched him all the time along with Ms Hobo Kelly (pretty hot in her homeless getup).

Tastes are different. I would eat cheesecake all day but not angel food! It's like chewing through a sponge!! :)
