I just got my medical marijuana card in PA. I have to tell you that this stuff has stopped the pain I've been suffering with but it also relaxes me enough to sleep around 9 hours! I haven't done that for over 5 months. It took me this long to overcome my prejudices toward anything marijuana. I never believed for an instant that I would ever do marijuana. But I can now walk and my arthritis in my left arm is almost non existent! God has been good to me!!!!

Funny you mention prejudices. I was raised in an evangelical Presbyterian/military family. It was made abundantly clear if the parental units ever caught me with drugs they would turn me in to the police. They searched my room on a frequent basis and even went so far as to have drug tests administered by the family doctor. My parents were products of “Reefer Madness” propaganda. Now that they’ve reached nonagenarian status their tune has changed significantly. My father has even admitted it’s obvious what they were told growing up simply wasn’t true.

I grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh called Cuddy. Near Bridgeville PA. Early 60's into 1972. My parents never even mentioned drugs. I just grew up in that traditional type of family and never even considered marijuana or any other so called drug. In 1971 when I entered the Army I was shocked that the guys in my unit smoked marijuana. I steered clear as the Army tested quite regularly. However at this point in my life pain has become a constant companion. My son finally got me to try medical marijuana. I owe him for that. I can sleep now and I can walk. That's huge.

Almost the same except Roman Catholic, but I was as a young man in life drawn to what I was told I shouldn't, couldn't, and forbidden to do. LoL
Thank God, or whoever You choose to.....that I just didn't like anything I did besides Mary Jane.

That was basically me as well. The harder they pulled me in the further I pulled away. Honestly the best thing that ever happened to us was a long break. Didn’t speak to my parents for a couple years. Hell didn’t even live on the same continent for a year. It gave everyone involved a bit of perspective. As for the church easily the most evil people I’ve ever met.

Folks, please leave your druggy and religious beliefs at the door.
Well, at least leave your drugs at my door.

It's been a long known fact that drugs can be used in a beneficial way. All drugs. Way better than that sh*t drug companies peddle.

There can be. Although that is everywhere. The problem is We expect church to be where it is not, and because mankind can be a devious evil creature.....those work their way into the system since forever.

Beneficial for many, addictive to others. My oldest brother was a pitching prospect coming out of high school. Then, he started smoking lots of mota and lost all ambition. He’s almost 70 now and never did anything meaningful in his life. I also worked for a very wealthy guy who used to get high with his partner and make business decisions. They expanded too fast and ended up bankrupt

Addictive personalities will get that way from anything. Sad to hear, but others should not pay for it. Example: Just because woman can't drive doesn't mean that men shouldn't. LoL. Was that outdated???? LoL.
I know people that can eat one cupcakes, and that be that, and then I know people that will eat all of them in the house once they start.

    Happy for OP!

I can neither confirm nor deny that I have been with my friend (no, I'm not a young Catholic girl coming of age*) for 53 years.

    * I think only an old Catholic will get that reference. And I ever run into that nun who smacked me with a ruler I'm F--ing her up;)

I don’t give a rats ass if you smoke, just don’t do it around me! Stuff stinks! Both of my brothers used to smoke lots of it. It just made me go to sleep. Now, with all the blow available in the 80s, it’s a good thing I didn’t make a lot of money……

We have come a long way. Edibles and vapes have done away with the old fashion joint. Even the young don't seem to smoke the "joint" anymore. Not kidding when I say I have found 9 vape pens on my golf course. The young can do it and golf, I'm way past that age. Hell, I have trouble getting around straight.

The ol up bringing of being told
"Try it. You might like it." So i did and i did.
" How do you know until you've tried it?" So I did.
"Cut off your nose, spite your own face." Wasn't gonna let that happen.
"There's nothing you can do that I haven't already done." Wanna bet?

    sidenote:
I don't understand people who say
" I've been around the world. Seen and done it all."
    yeah ok.
