He did have the knee injury at the end of the season. Probably being cautious

I did not hear anything about him having a surgery. Hope he doesn't decide to have the surgery right before the season starts.

You see this happen all the time where a player waits hoping it will get better on its own, and then when it doesn't they decide to have surgery at the start of the season. And then everyone asks "Why didn't he have the surgery when the season ended?" Assuming it is one of those "Knee Cleaning" things.

Didn't he get his bell rung pretty good near the end of the season? He maybe suffering lingering effects which would mean proceeding with an abundance of caution would be called for. It would explain the no drilling with a helmet on but taking part in other activities.

Just as long as it's not another concussion then I'm ok with it.

A player getting his bell rung is suffering a concussion. I certainly hope he didn't suffer another of those. I don't think he did. It was a knee injury.

It was announced the Monday after the game it was just a sprain and would not require surgery

Funny I remember that injury now. Looked horrible on the field, but turned out it was only a sprain. Then we had the whole "Is a Sprain a Tear" debate here.

Damn, sucks that he is still dealing with that injury.
Good news is more mini-camp reps for the Rookie & Conner. It is not like Pat needs the reps at this time of the year anyway.

Anyone know if Pat and Zach are going to have their BBQ show this year at camp again?

For the love of god! Jump to conclusions much? You have no idea if he’s dealing with it or not. Just stop.

I wouldn’t call that nitpicking. Some people need to be spoon fed or things go from completely inconsequential to thermonuclear in the blink of an eye

Not worried. Pickens didnt have a helmet either.

If it was a concussion then I’d be worried.

Wait a minute.... It was your post that is jumping to the conclusion that his current injury is his injury from last year. I was jumping to the conclusion that this was some type of knee needs to be cleaned out injury, when you jumped in with your this is the same injury from last year conclussion.

As far as I know his current injury could have been from him cleaning his pool this summer? All I can find is people saying an undisclosed injury; did you see anything different or are YOU ASSUMING THIS IS FROM LAST YEAR?

When asked if he would be ready for training camp, Freiermuth simply said ‘for sure’ and left it at that.

what does the header of the article say? :smiley1::cool:
What does the header of the article say? There is also more articles about it saying he expects to be ready but nothing is for sure until he's on the field.

That is the clickbait. Even reputable news outlets sometimes have headlines that don't properly reflect the information in an article. A site like Steelers Wire is going to do that even more often. Notice that Curt Popejoy didn't actually do any reporting. He just linked actual work by Brooke Pryor.

To that point I saw an article today accusing Najee of starting a war with the NFL about the devalued position of running back. Turns out all he said was all of these successful backs that are getting cut for little or no reason beyond saving money so it is an uncertain future for him and it makes it hard to know what to expect.
