before this was posted I had the football life broadcast of Chuck Noll show up on my YT feed. I re-watched it and was simply amazed at his brilliance. Your top 6 could be rearranged by many and their arguments would hold water, and Noll for me is of course the sentimental choice. I think the one thing that stood out was when Madded said the best two teams in football had just played (Oakland and Miami), Noll told the team, we are the best team, caused Joe Green to stand up as it was the first motivational speech he ever heard Chuck use, lol. There may have been better, more wins and longer success, but the man took a team that had a culture of losing in every facet of the game for 50 years and made it a national (if not International) brand. That puts him on the NFL Mt Rushmore in my book.

Tom Landry and Charles Schultz died at about the same time

Some writer told Tom Landry it was amazing he had the same job for 25 years

Landry said that is one way of looking at it I also haven’t had a promotion in 25 years

Marino was one of the best QBs in the game but never won a superbowl. Maybe Reid's coaching has something to do with the best QB in football playing and winning two superbowls?

Andy Reid is in the Bill Belichick category - can only win Super Bowls with a Hall of Fame QB. Oh wait, Lombardi, Noll, Walsh are in that category. Makes me think Joe Gibbs should be higher. I am kidding about Lombardi, Noll, and Walsh because they created championship football teams around the QB.

I can't believe nobody's put SDOT on their list. Though I guess he's more a front office guy.

Note: Yes, I left Bill Belichik off the list, because he has yet to prove he can do anything pre or post Tom Brady

Honorable mention to Mike McCormick. Head Coach of Eagles. I felt bad for the guy. I was at a game where they had blown up life size dolls of him and booted them all over the stadium the entire game. And it was only an exhibition game.

Maybe He does. I'm just saying that what some think is the greatest HC never won a SB without Patrick Mahomes, and was a HC for 20 years without winning a SB. That's all. Yet some of those people will say another coach sucks that had more success in half the time.

Other than win a AFC Championship without Brady....go 11- 5 without Brady one year....took a Rookie Qb to the playoffs, and was the last coach for the Browns to win a playoff game in I believe over 20 years at one time. Other then that yeah He hasn't won without Brady.
No Gibbs....He won SBs with 3 different Qbs.

Marv Levy has the distinct honor of being just good enough to get to the SB but never winning.

Great coach but I have a hard time of putting anyone in the top 10 that has zero championships.

And yet he didn't win a superbowl for 13 years coaching Dan Marino. My point is that Hava great QB is nice but it doesn't negate the need for effective coaching. Now there are all kinds of reasons Miami didn't win one with both Shula and Marino but you would think they certainly should have. Andy Reid should not be downgraded because he has a great QB

But for Andy Reid, his resume is still very solid without Mahomes. Not great in the playoffs but his regular season record were HOF caliber without Mahomes....Not the case for Belichick without Brady!

But he won with Greise and Morrall. Granted, a Great QB helps but, a good running game and a defense is critical. Just ask Coryell!

Yes, but Shula didn't take 20 years to Win a SB, and He has one of the Highest winning%. If You are going to mention Marino.....Maybe it was Marino.....Shula wasn't the only SB winning HC that couldn't get Marino to a SB....remember J. Johnson???

My whole point is takes more than just a great QB to win a superbowl. Noll won 4 with Bradshaw. Great QB and a great coach with an unbelievable defense. I am tired of people saying Andy Reid is not a great coach because he has Mahomes. He is a great coach
