Fanaca was amazing, but why add at one of the stronger positions on the team when you could add a Hall of Famer at quarterback? If you want to go offensive line, there si a Hall of Fame option at center, which is a much bigger need.

I could just imagine our run game with Saumalo and Faneca together.

It's all guesswork on how a 4-3 lineman or LB would do in a 3-4 so I'd eliminate 4-3 front 7. My good friend CK 13 suggested Lloyd, but that's strengthening an already solid position. I'd rather go with a position of need. Either Webster or Dawson would give us a killer line. But those 2 were already mentioned, so just to be argumentive I'll suggest Leveon Bell. We're good but not strong there with

Ok if that didn't make sense it's because my fat finger hit post by accident while editing.

Lloyd would be a wasted pick since although he'd be an upgrade over Highsmith, I'd want to upgrade an area of weakness. Same with Woodson and Blount. Although we don't know how good Porter and Trice will be, they're promising enough to bypass for a more definite need. At present, our ILBs are average, so I'd take pre injury Shazier for Defense.

As I mentioned in my earlier shagged up post (I liked STDs term in a different thread), Bell would be an interesting pick. We presently have a good starter and#2, but Bell would a major upgrade in both the run and pass game. My first thought was picking Ben, but since my bitter enemy formerscribe already suggested him I couldn't possibly agree with him. I also considered center (coin flip between Webster and Dawson) but I think Bell would have more impact.

I can imagine a better run game with a Hall of Fame quarterback.

A poster I've never noticed before sees me as a bitter enemy! Cool!

Bell is interesting, but if you upgrade a strength, I would go with Brown at receiver or Faneca at guard. When in doubt, go with the Hall of Famer. I like Pickett, but you don't pass on the opportunity to have a Hall of Fame quarterback in his prime taking the snaps. (I think that was the premise, that these guys would be in their prime.)

Shazier does make some sense for the defense. I'm not sure about him over Lambert, but that is the issue with guys from the '70s, players are so much bigger and faster now. Shazier didn't play bigger than Lambert, but he was certainly faster.

That said when in doubt, go with the Hall of Famer and you have one who does have the size and speed for today's game in Woodson. I like Porter and Trice, too, but in Rod We Trust.

casey hampton or joe green. along with heyward, they wouldn't run on us. i would consider harrison as well in his prime teamed up with TJ. wouldn't be a QB safe.

the bus in his prime.
