OK, 2021 Not a top 5 guy. but being paid he was like one. He sucked in 2022 and was not a top guy the previous year, so Why pay him like he is one of the best kickers in the league?

In today's game 90% FG kicks are just the normal now. Don't try to think Boswell is special. The Steelers made him the highest paid kicker in the league when he signed his last contract.

No. LoL. I'd let Him have her . LoL. It's just I can't listen to someone talk about saving cap room on a starter, and help think of the Steelers paying a backup more than most the starting Qbs in the League.

Do you even attempt to use your brain? Look at your list 10 fg attempted. 1 fg attempted. 8 fg attempted

Boz doesn’t suck, what’s wrong with you guys :lolol:

A down year for him but as others have said, he was injured.

    He was perfect on xp 18-18, perfect 4-4 on FG’s 20-29yards. 4-5 on 30-39yards, struggled between 40-49yards 5-10 and was 7-9 on 50+yard.

Right now the sky is falling. Once the schedule is released tomorrow we will officially be doomed.

People act like no other NFL kickers ever miss FG's and EP's.

I am still attempting to process the notion that being injured negates any negative impact of performance in a collision based sport!

.... wait... injuries affect a sport that requires extreme levels of athleticism.....?!?!

yes, he sucked last year. yes he was injured, but he sucked and we paid the price for it, in competitiveness and in the wallet. He needs to be closely watched and Tomlin needs to have a Plan B ready, which is NOT his strong suit...

he sucked too in 2018 or 19, I forget. that was not injury related , I do not think.

It's about price and performance. If he is ranked 25th in performance, and top 3 in price, that is a problem.

some of you understand or not? Shall I keep the class moving forward?

if he sucks first half of this year, we have a problem, Houston.

Outside of a few we are well beyond the 53F7AD1E-B32C-4C37-B99C-DF1A8EE59982.jpeg classes you attempt to teach.

He can kick it into the endzone, seen him do it plenty, probably every kicker in the league can. Kicking short of the endzone is by design, you are looking for a turnover but mostly you’re playing for field position and looking for them to be short of the 20. Which happens a lot.

There’s the chance of getting a turnover, but on average field position also works in your favor. It’s not a huge amount, but every yard counts. Someone will chime in shortly and start talking about the risk of kicks being returned for a touchdown, but that’s somewhere around less than 1% chance of happening.

The thing is though ... we all remember when Jeff Reed's body basically just gave out on him. It was like a page was turned and he didn't have it anymore.

Boz is getting up there, not every kicker can play till they are in there late 30s. I think we need to think about bringing in someone soon.

Well....we should've drafted a kicker higher than Janikowski then.

Boswell hasn’t lost a fight to a paper towel dispenser yet, so he doesn’t have that type of wear and tear on his body.

This. Are there actually fans who don’t recognize that kicking short of the EZ is intentional to play for better field position?

Dude....I've actually wondered if some even look at the stats they try using....let alone actually know rules, and understand what they are watching in a game.
