What a draft. I think it was the best draft in years. With that being said you can’t fill every need. Even with the Slot CB FA signing I still think we have need there as well as as edge depth.

I would love the to see the Steelers bring in Bryce Callahan at Slot and bring in one more Veteran Edge player like Justin Houston or Frank Clark.

One question I have about Herbig at his currents ie. How is he at setting the edge against the run?

I wouldn't mind bringing in Houston had 9.5 sacks last season. They might add during camp cuts but now I feel they will digest this grade "A" draft and added free agents. Plus signing the rookies and looking to lock up Highsmith.

I would agree with this. There is sometimes a 2nd FA drive if teams release players after a certain date (May or June???), not sure that creates much buzz, but I am just as surprised with the current and recent FA signings so soon to the draft. Omar is really looking at this roster and doing diligence to fill holes.

We could still use a safety and before the draft during FA Tomlin stated we would acquire one

Surely they bring some in. At least for depth, and bodies for camp. Maybe they are thinking of switching the other new CB they took.

Everything I’ve read says that guy is best suited as a press man corner. This despite playing most of his career at safety

Guys like Houston you have to worry about them being another Ingram on the team.

They signed a guy yesterday to play the slot, although Vikings fans say he sucks .

If Keanu Neal is healthy I think he will be a pretty good safety for us.

Just because Ingram was an ass doesn’t mean Houston will be one.

He's also 34 years old, not interested in him.

He might be alright as a box safety, I don't think you want him in coverage though.

Yea its old school, but finding a guy like Ryan Clark to team up with Minkah would be a dream fulfilled.

I think in his welcome to the Steelers thread someone posted a write up about some of his weaker tendencies. All of this means nothing until they get the kid to camp. Is he teachable..more important can he learn how to play the pro position. We have a 7th round pick with great size and coming from a big program with lots of starts, seems like a really dedicated and disciplined young man. The rest will be revealed in time.

What's wrong with neal and kazee? Minus injuries, they are legit.

Maybe they got some intel from Peterson on how and when those two can be used to work together situationally better.

My brother is a Vikings fan and has been crying about their DB’s for a few years.

The guy was only with the Vikings for one year. GB had him for 3 years. 5 picks and 23 passes defended. I think he gave up 5 TDs in 5 years.

The whole Ingram fiasco ended up good for us. We were able to flip that bum for a 6th that got us Heyward.

I'm worried about the third down defense, Holcomb is now the only ILB they can probably use in those situations.

They didn't resign Kazee to sit the bench. He will be next to Fitzpatrick

To think this team is a finished product is pre mature. I do feel they have taken strides to secure a playoff berth and finish with 10 to 11 wins.

I know your disappointed that Alvin didn't sign with us but as a rotational player, a smart seasoned veteran you would pass up a possibility of 9.5 sacks while Herbig is groomed? I wouldn't.

Cam Heyward will be 34 when the season starts.
