Having Mitch is a blessing if Pickett slumps.

Actually He wasn't on immediate pressure at all...like what Colinsworth said. If You watch KFP runs Himself into pressure. Yet people would blame that on Moore. LoL. We must hope KFP learns to navigate the pocket much better. I believe He will. I have faith in the Young Man

That's one way to look at it. The other is that the Ravens were all pushing the pocket back into his lap. He had nowhere to step up, but realized he still had time to escape before Moore's man got past him. It was absolutely the right move by Pickett, and it allowed time for Harris to beat his man.

Yes if You think offensive linemen are brick walls, and don't move. You are taught to run the rusher as a tackle past Your Qb. If He stays in the pocket....they go right past, but He runs right into the lane. If You can't see that on that play....Well ....

It's pretty clear that Pickett isn't dropping straight back but already dropping to his left due to the snap being low and to the left. If anything, he's guilty of cutting off half the field on the snap but without knowing what the exact play design was, we're just left to speculate. Either way, if he simply steps up in the pocket or even runs to the right, he makes that throw that much harder to make. He absolutely makes the right play. He was a rookie so by nature, every play is overanalyzed.

Moore wasn't pushing the guy past him. He was getting pushed backward.

Look in front of Pickett. He couldn't step up. His only option was to escape while the defender was still engaged with Moore. If you can't see that, well....

Also, there are 4 recievers running routes to the left side and only one on the right. It's possible it was a quick hitter to one of those routes that wasn't there at first but Pickett was already drifting to the left. He really had no choice but to escape the pocket the way he did.

LoL....I thought You said You played . You don't automatically push them past....LoL....LoL....it's not a 1st move. LoL... You have more than one move as a tackle. That be like saying....well He wasn't going to kick Me because He threw a jab 1st. LoL
I'm not arguing with someone that appears they don't know what they are looking at. It would be like Me arguing about Guitar, or Kickboxing with You.
He doesn't have to go anywhere....also I'm not knocking Him ....He was a rookie....I'm knocking people saying He was under pressure automatically.

But He's not supposed to drift to the left....the blocking assignment shows that. Also If You read the original comment. I'm not downing KFP.....I'm downing people putting that on the line. I've been nothing but supportive of KFP on here, and everywhere.
Also if He can't throw to the left without going left we are in deep trouble (I know He can....I'm just being smarta$$).....It ok people that a rookie panicked, and took off when He didn't have to....this is things He must work on. Hell Ben did the same His 1st few years. Difference is .....I didn't blame it on his OL.

I have no confidence in Canada suddenly having a pro level offensive scheme. For over half the season he completely ignored or didn t allow a pass down the seam or the center of the field. You can t just surrender a third of the field to the defense.
Dionte bubble screen or a 4 yd out on the left and Pickens on a go route down the right sideline, that is about as complicated as it gets with Canada.
We should have more talent but if he doesn t show some major improvement in the first 4 to 6 weeks dump him, before he ruins another season.

I have played and watched enough to know that Moore wasn't controlling anything. He was being controlled by the pass rusher. I'm sorry you don't understand the game well enough to see that.

If Pickett doesn't bail right then, that pocket collapses on him. He has nowhere to move up or to the right. At best, he is throwing from a poor position without being able to step back or up. Luckily, like me, he understands what he is seeing on a football field far better than you will.

Actually, you know nothing about my knowledge of kickboxing or guitar, but hey, go on and make stuff up if it makes you feel better.

I agree. Maybe that’s why they brought in Thomas…. Add some depth to the offense and have a guy in house to take over when Canada gets relieved of his duties.

There are definitely times he panicked and bailed too soon last season. That just wasn't one of them. That was a time that he correctly identified the need to bail and executed it beautifully. That was also an encouraging play because he usually avoided throwing while rolling left in college.

Unless Pickett is injured Mitch is not going to see a snap

Pickett is the man now just like the guy we had a couple of years ago

Protecting Kenny was pretty big. Hence his concussion(s).

Cannot have another season of concussions or he’s in the convo with Tua or even worse.

TE prospect is the draft option that provides GREAT protection and a luxury toy for passing options.

Dog with a bone over here!

Tomlin emphatically chimed in on his press conference when someone asked Kahn about the depth a strengths in this draft class and MT interrupted Omar as he was rattling them off with the comment of “TIGHT END”!

    Something to chew on folks…

A great TE blocking with the LT should have eliminated that pressure. Then shed the block and catch the check for a TD there. Luckily Kenny found another way to make it work.
