I do find it funny that everyone makes fun of Me liking everything, and then...some ... turnaround, and call Me a hater when I talk about Edmunds, and Trubisky. LoL .
    Can I be both????

Found this little nugget on the blue bird.

Again, being cautiously optimistic here but I do believe that this is also a strong message to Matt Canada; put up or shut up time.

matt canada's run game worked well. i have no problem if they use a two headed approach to the offense and make it as good as it can be. canada mostly running the run game and thomas running the passing game. similar to the GM duties of kahn and weidl. whatever makes this team better. sometimes as the old saying goes you can't see the forest for the trees. an outside fresh addition sometimes see's things differently when they have no ties to what is going on. the picture can be clearer that way. i hope they can all work together and not for it to become a power struggle. MSGA- make the steelers great again.:smiley1::cool:

Disagree on Lamar not understanding but agree overall on the current paradigm of building a Championship Roster. If anything, Lamar realizes how risky his playing style is; evidenced by him not finishing back to back seasons. For Lamar, it is about financial security should something bad happen. For Baltimore, it is about getting maximum value out of that contract from a player.

Me personally?! I know that Lamar still has limitations with his accuracy at times but outright winning the NFL MVP does account for something; doubly so considering he was the last pick in the First Round and that award is still something not even the likes of Josh Allen nor Joe Burrow have won. Lamar is about as dynamic a player as I have seen since seeing those old school Mike Vick Highlights. That said... just as his meteoric rise came... so too did Lamar's meteoric fall. While Lamar has shown he has the capability to overcome the odds... how he is overcoming them still is holding him back. Lamar still has not shown he can throw passes on a consistent basis a la Mahomes, Burrow or Allen. Hell, I would argue that even now, what was shown during the second half of his Rookie Campaign that Kenny Pickett possesses superior consistency than Lamar does now.

Again, if anyone is asking me on what I think of Lamar, I think he a Top 10 QB currently. At one point, he was Top 5 for me... then the injuries started to happen. Lamar's current greatest weakness has more to do with him being unavailable as opposed to available. A great players ultimate ability is availability for that separates those who can seize the moments vs. those who cannot for those people will always be there to give you the best chances to win. People rail on Big Ben for some of his antics but his toughness, grit and perseverance were not among his shortcomings; evidenced by his 53 game winning drives which are third all time. Why does any of this matter?!

Until Lamar Jackson showcases he can be available more often.... expect the doubts to continue.

Well... I neccessarily wouldn't call Glen Thomas an outside hire in the traditional sense. Here is another nugget from the blue bird.

Not surprised as the Steelers under Tomlin are not going to hire someone out of the blue.

Lamar won that MVP four years ago, he hasn't played on that level since IMO.

Which is my main point regarding availability. However, one thing is for certain, only he and Tom Brady are unanimous NFL MVPs. That much cannot be taken from him.

Lamar's durability is likely the current issue in terms of his contract holdup; doubly so if it is fully guaranteed.

His MVP trophy should be in Greg Roman’s trophy case.

I would rather have had Kliff Klingsbury signed as a coach this year. Probably to much of a threat to Matt Canada.

I just saw where Kliff Kingsbury finally signed with USC as a senior offensive analyst yesterday. I wonder if Pittsburgh even reached out to Kliff this year? Kliff come here to Pittsburgh and be our "Senior Offensive Analyst".

And I still have not heard where Byron Leftwich ended up at?

Kingsbury > Leftwich > Glenn Thomas

Actually I believe Kliff is the QB coach at USC. I imagine he wanted out of the NFL.

Kingsbury and Lincoln Riley have known each other for a while, I'm sure that played a part in him going to USC.

Truth be told I don't know if Kliff is even allowed to hold an NFL position. He was under contracted through 2027 because of the extension he signed last year, so I would assume he is cashing Arizona paychecks for $5.5 million per year, as long as he stays out of the NFL.

The whole pod cast is great context, but you can forward to 10:15 to hear this insiders view of our coordinator acquisitions.
