new DB coach

He was with the team last year in an unspecified role, this is a promotion for him, now let's go draft some good DBs for these guys to work with.

 

We probably keep say 8 DBs maybe

How many coaches do 8 people need

 

They will probably keep 9 DBs, maybe one coach will concentrate on safeties, and the other coach concentrate on cornerbacks.

 

8...., and Me. So 9. LoL

 

They should keep 5 CBs, and 4 Safeties IMO.

this hire may be to get a guy in place for grady browns replacement. there has been talk of brown being one of the few tomlin assistants that could move on as a DC soon.

 

Interesting read as it looks like he was let go by Miami when Flores was. I wonder if he came along with Flores as some kind of personal assistant as to why he was with the Steelers last year, but not on their official coaching staff.

I don't think they ever filled the position when Austin was promoted to DC, and Grady was promoted to DB coach from Assistant DB coach.

 

Even though it is not a groundbreaking hire, it is a good one.
More eyes, the better.
