I believe if Colbert were still in charge we would more than likely sit tight even if one of the OT’s or top three cb’s didn’t drop to us.

I believe we would be all in on Bresee I high pedigree athlete in a position of need.

he would probably go with a ILB or cb in the second rd pick at 49. We wouldn’t have pick 32 because he wouldn’t have traded Claypool.

what ever we don’t pick in rd 2 between cb or ILB we pick in rd 3. Rd 4 we probably go wr because that’s just what we do.

rd 7 we go QB and Edge.

also under Colbert we don’t make the splash signings with ILB and guards so perhaps we pick up a guard in the draft as well. We also probably don’t cut Jack at ILB either.

I have a feeling under Khan this draft is going to be much different than what we have been used too. I don’t think we will stay put. I can see us tracing up for a player we like or trading back for draft capital.

Your bashing of Colbert is over the top. You make it seem like he operated as the lone voice in the organization.

So did we NOT sign James Daniels and Myles Jack last year (just as “splashy” as our signings this year), never mind Wallace (who will probably be a starter for a 2nd straight season)? Also, how would trading up for a player we want be different from giving up a 2nd and a 3rd to get Devin Bush? It was a huge mistake, but it was definitely not conservative.

Colbert, every year, did what we did in free agency this year- sign mid-level players at positions of need so that we didn't go into the draft absolutely having to grab a position.

I’m not bashing him. His ways were more conservative. It remains to be seen whose ways will be better.

Yes we did and those transactions were definitely out if the norm for Colbert.

I agree with this. However there are some slight differences. It appears however Khan is a little more aggressive. The trade of Claypool, cutting bait with players who underperformed or not being overly tied to sentimental players two examples are Myles Jack and Derek Watt. We will see what happens in the draft but I just feel like Khan is going to be more aggressive. It will take years to evaluate and who knows if his ways will better.

Trenton Simpson will be the pick at 17 if Colbert was drafting. Let's see where he landsç
