That linebacker that transferred to Arkansas from Alabama? What’s the story with him?

He was great, but We only got one year with Him. He should go pretty High by His play on the field, but You know how the combine can changes things.

I like him. He's got some burst to the ball carrier.

He's 6'5" and weighs 233 and runs a 4.53. Every mock I have seen have him going late first to mid second round. The Draft Network states that he is really good at everything but his weakness is that he can be overwhelmed when he engages an Offensive Lineman.

I watched every game He played this year, and He is great, but a little on the light side. Problem is everyone knows the combine will change a bunch of these guy futures. We see it every year. We all watch Guys We think are great, or Guys We don't think are that good, and then they go to the combine, and a slow ,or fast cone drill, 40 time, and such changes everything in the eyes of the GMs ,and such watching.

I'd like him at 32, not 17 as of right now...before the combine and free agency.

I actually wonder how much stock teams put into players combine performances. Teams have spent a year or two scouting players. I have a feeling the combine is more for fans and another revenue stream for the nfl. I read an article several years ago written by a former offensive line coach or scout. Can’t remember which, but not important either. He said when a player “drops” on draft day it’s only a surprise to fans and the media. Those players had dropped with teams long ago.

The 40 times and the window dressing are for the fans and the pundits. The medicals and the personal interviews are what the teams are looking at. Those are what will change their minds.

Well I agree to a point, but We have all seen guys go Higher when they have great measurable at the combine. I know a Qb that went in the 1st round as a Wrs because of His 40. He played Qb...how much game tape did they see of Him as a Wr ???
How about our own Edmunds??? You think His game tape , or His 4.47 ...40, ,and 41.5 vertical did it???
Even if You don't agree about Edmunds....that Qb one has to make You know that the combine matters.
