He almost had a nice run for a TD this past game. Got tackled on the two. Should have najeed the DB and drove him in for the TD.

 

You do understand that our Starting QB had a total of 7 TDs in 13 games played.

Could part of that be Johnson’s fault?

 

He definitely regressed some this year. I like him, but he’s a little too inconsistent. Maybe he puts it all together soon?

 

plus the record for consecutive catches and running backwards.

 

To add to Pickett’s 7, Mitch has 4 more on the season, which brings the grand total to 11 passing TDs on the season.

I think Johnson can improve his game, but also think we need to be carful to not be overly critical, given how horrific our passing offense was this season.

 

He's hard to trust. He gets open but he makes too many mistakes. I think he has a good set of tools, but he seems to have lapses in concentration. Just have to hope he has a better year next year then they can decide whether he's worth trying to sign to a third contract or walks in free agency.

 

He had 2 receptions Sunday in 10 attempts

It was. DJ's play was hindered by poor offense and poor quarterback play. DJ's numbers were also hindered by his own poor play. No doubt about it.

 

George Pickens had a pretty good year with the same offense and quarterback

I will admit the year DJ has had has been lackluster. I still think he is worth the money, and I still think that the combo of he and Pickens can still be great regardless of who is considered WR1. If he doesn't get it together by early next season I will grab a pitch fork and join you. Trust me.
