Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin had to be resuscitated twice after collapsing on the field during Monday night's game with the Bengals.

'His heart had went out so they had to resuscitate him twice. They resuscitated him on the field before they brought him to the hospital and then they resuscitated him a second time when they got him to the hospital,' Hamlin's uncle Dorrian Glenn told CNN.

 

I wouldn’t surprise me at all if they initially wanted to resume the game. I personally don’t have a problem with them considering it. I’m glad that they ended up not proceeding though as that was the right thing to do.

 

How many of these companies you mention are broadcast live around the world?

 

Some bosses can be real jerks. I remember on 09/11/2001 all of us employees were gathered around the TV in our office as all the news was coming in that day. Our supervisor told us all to get back to work because we still had some important documents that needed completed and shipped before the end of the day. I told her to go screw herself and left for the day to be with my wife and kids. I went back the next day and no one ever mentioned about me leaving the day before.

 

One* positive thing could come out of this terrible event, it might prompt the Steelers to upgrade the medical carts.

I worked for the Federal Government and had 25 years in by then. You cant really be fired from the government with that many years in unless you set fire to the place or physically assault someone. We had a guy who screwed up his work so much that he was ordered not to do any work because it was most cost efficient if he did nothing rather than fix all of the things he messed up. He brought in a cot to sleep in the warehouse and just stayed out of everyone's way until he retired a couple of years later.
