I could see the Steelers/Browns Dolphins/Jets game at 1 and then the Pats/Bills game at 4 especially if homefield and the WC is all at stake for both the Bills and Pats. The Pats are in a win and in situation so I would think they are gonna put both the Steelers and Dolphins both at 1 in hopes that at least one wins and then forces the Pats to win their game in Buffalo. The schedule I heard isn’t being released until later this evening so we won’t know the times until later tonight sometime.

Except Jacksonville and Tennessee;) Actually since it is for first place I think the NFL will want that game for primetime. Titans trending down, Jags up. Bad enough having Burrows, Allen and Mahomes in our conference, now I think Lawrence could enter the picture. Sure the hell wish those 4 guys were in the NFC.

Are there Saturday games?? Looks like KC is on Saturday. That would not be fair because if they win, Buffalo would probably rest its starters against the Patriots if they lose tonight.

I thought about this happening too. However, if the Jags win Saturday and the Steelers and Dolphins lose Sunday, the Pats would already be in at 4 pm Sunday so the game becomes meaningless.

The other rub, if the Ravens somehow beat the Bengals, the Bills could be playing for a 2 seed, which gets you the 7 seed instead of the 6 seed (a much easier path) and gets you a home game in the divisional round.

I said it a few weeks ago, the biggest obstacle will be the Jets winning in Miami. That's the one piece that I don't think will happen.

They should have kept the chiefs and the bills playing at the same time on Sunday, because both of their playoff paths are very intertwined. Neither one of the teams should have the advantage of knowing the result of the other game before they play

That's a good point, so if Cincy wins tonight, the Bills still need to win to get the 2nd seed. I still rather the Bills win tonight.

If Cincinnati wins tonight, that knocks the bills down to the 3rd seed and they wont control their path to #1.

Yeah the extra detail was usually a time to goof off depending on who was left in charge.

This is good. NE/Buffalo and NYJ/Miami games are at 1pm. We'll know by 4pm whether Steelers earned the 7th seed.

That's true but the 2 seed would still be in play and that matters since it means home game in divisional round. 1 seed isn't a guarantee to the AFCCG either, Titans last year, Ravens in 2019 for example.

Not the same motivation as getting the 1 seed, but it means something.

Regardless, I still think the biggest hurdle is the Jets. I'm not confident in them even keeping it close.

I think the jets game will purely come down to the dolphins quarterback situation. I don't see either team really laying down, since it's a divisional game

Was just thinking it would be good for Buffalo to win tonight so that Baltimore plays at 4 and hoping CBS has double header. But they just did. So, I might not get Steelers game. Hope I do. So I can record it and watch when I get home.

Yea it’s gonna be interesting to see what decisions are made. All the other 30 teams in the league need to start preparing for their games this week starting today and of course there are other factors involved as well with logistics and TV and any other things that come to mind. I have a hard time seeing the Bills playing this weekend seeing the state of mind their team and organization are in. So we’ll see what happens it’s a tough decision to make but it’s still a decision that needs to be made because you can’t just cancel and push back every game this week because this happened.

I could usually see the weekend games staying set as they are and then rescheduling this game for the following week. That would give every team a mini-bye, except Cincinnati and Buffalo, Then push the playoffs back one week.

The Monday night game still has to be completed. When they are going to do that is anyone's guess.
