I wouldn't either. But some team will. Look at Russell Wilson and Deshawn Watson. Then imagine that Jackson is way younger. Some team is going to go all in.

Mike Tomlin supposedly thinks very highly of him. Maybe we’re the sucker.

I could see a team like the Jets making a big play for him. They’ve just had two major QB busts in Wilson and Darnold but the rest of their roster looks very good with lots of young talent at WR and a very good defence. Their roster is significantly better than Baltimores outside of the QB position and I think they would view themselves as an instant contender with Lamar

I think it’s very possible that he moves on. If the Ravens were going to pay him what he wants they’d probably have done it by now.

Texans have the 1st and 11th picks in the 2023 first round. I think that is where he goes unless the Ravens want him in the NFC.

I would say My best guess would be that the Ravens tag Lamar for at least one year. Other teams need to know that if You bring Lamar in.....they must change their whole offensive philosophy, and then like the Panthers went through.....people saying.....why don't You bring in weapons for Him.....not knowing they bring in weapons differently for that type of offense, and that bringing in Wrs for 8-10 catches a game is worthless for them.....also almost impossible.

Let's face it, if this guy can't run, he's nothing. Now, he's dealing with knee injuries. He's going to keep getting older. A lot of those shots he used to barely dodge are gonna start to land. And he's not built to take a beating. I hope they back the truck up. It would be nice to see those intolerable assh***s have few down years.

Man oh man... if Russel Wilson and DeShaun Watson have taught the NFL nothing... I honestly do not know what to say at that point haha. Teams will learn the hard way of overpaying for players, doubly so QBs, who not only are a poor fit for the system but also must have a system that makes that QB the system itself; not ideal when the traditional style of building Offenses based on the strength of the personnel has proven to be a more effective method. For example, while there are certain plays only Patrick Mahomes can make in Andy Reid's System... that system that Mahomes plays in is still predominately run through Reid himself. Another excellent example of Offensive Building is the 49ers via Kyle Shanahan. No matter what happens to the QB, the strength of the system will always be the personnel within it; the QB augmenting that system from a point it did not have before.

In contrast, Kliff Kingsburry has zero clue of what to run when Kyler Murray is not available. Heck, even with Kyler, Kliff was still losing. Greg Roman's approach is not much better as while he has the QBs needed to run the Offense without Lamar, due to how Lamar-Centric the Ravens Offense is... Lamar essentially becomes the Offense. While my final point is going to sound a bit controversial, does anyone foresee Josh Allen of the Bills as a ticking time bomb of sorts?! No doubt he can throw it and, that has never been in question for him. What is to be questioned is how much more will the Bills rely on him to be the sole answer for the rushing attack?! Gotta protect Allen from himself.

In the end though, Baltimore has themselves to blame for this; doubly so considering this should have been a done deal months ago. Depending on another QB in the upcoming draft to turn out as good as Lamar is simply is short sighted. As crazy as that sounds, mind you that Lamar is still one of two players in the 100+ year history of the NFL to win NFL MVP by a unanimous vote; that guy down there in Tampa Bay being the other. That definitely is something no one can take from him without question.

    However... for that much?!

I'm not a fan of drafting a small QB that high in the draft, but I'm sure some team will take him in the top 10.

Too small and frail for me. The physical demands of a QB
At the NFL level is high even if they don't get hit on every play.
I have suggested in other threads that KP needs bulked up and he is 6'3" 225

I for the love of me, can’t understand Cleveland. Just the PR nightmare they created signing Watson. They better hope they at least win one Superbowl with the dick in da face slapper!

Regular season MVPs mean nothing to Me....same as a Heisman.
I've seen way too many players win both, and do nothing else. Anyway they change what is needed to win every year.
Hell Brady (whom I can't stand) had the most Tds, and yards last year(which has been the deciding factor for many years) didn't win the MVP....No they gave it to Rodgers for some other reason. They make up a reason to fit whatever narrative they would like.
So just because Lamar won a MVP means nothing.
Cam, and M. Ryan won MVPs also.....look how great they turned out....LoL

Umm, both Ryan and Cam were great QB's. Regular season MVP is indicative of high play during that season. When it's a QB, that likely means the team is a contender, at least that year.
Cam got his team to the SB, as did Ryan. Neither won, but they both got there. If not for such poor play calling, Ryan would have won. his coaches really blew that game.
