That leaves the door open for options like individual team subscriptions. “We hope it continues to be a very accessible price and great opportunity for our fans,” Prasad said.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but in all of the years I've had Directv, my only issue has been the price of the base service coupled with the price of Sunday Ticket. I'm not necessarily scared to change to another service but not overly excited to either. It can be a daunting task trying to figure out which new service will suit your family the best.
So far, there's been multiple services suggested on this thread so my brain is scrambled already. If you're telling me that now I will potentially have to switch to another platform AND pay more for Sunday Ticket? Not cool .....

When they did that with NHL center ice (after getting sued), it was probably 10-15% less.

I am sure they are doing the revenue maximization calculations now. I doubt they offer a steep discount and risk not fully monetizing those willing to pay for the entire package.

To be honest, I'm not sure I really care for that. I know some guys probably only want to watch the Steelers but I enjoy watching the Game mix channel that gives you up to 8 games on the screen at one time. I would have to buy the whole package for that and that's where this gets dicey if it's higher priced than Direct.

If you have internet already you will just need to login to youtube and pay for sunday ticket ala cart at what sounds like a similar price to what DTV is charging. So you will basically would be paying the same and be able to stay with DTV for TV should you want to.

So you're thinking you wouldn't have to pay for YouTube tv first and then Sunday Ticket? I certainly don't want to pay for base DirecTV and YouTube tv.

She picked something up about the size of a deck of cards and said how big is this

I told her I’ve been telling you for years that’s 13 inches

If it is $300 or up, it really isn't any better than DTV other than the base quality of the service. I personally feel that offering a cheaper option for following a single team would bring in more subscribers and overall more $ than a larger price for all teams. And Google has the $ to experiment with something like that for a season.

The rumor was that Apple wanted to offer it free with it's $6.99 Apple TV+ subscription. But the NFL wasn't on board. They need to protect the billions they get from the network by not making it cheap for people to watch the games they want. So it seems it may not be up to Google. Perhaps they can do what DTV does and offer a high list price and avenues to get a reduced price.

the company apparently wants NFL Sunday Ticket to be included with Apple TV Plus, which costs $6.99 per month, at no extra cost
NFL is not happy with such a low price point as it needs to "protect the interests" of CBS and Fox, its Sunday afternoon broadcast partners. Together, the two networks will pay the NFL $40 billion for the 2023 season.

We cut our cable provider about a year ago. We did save money and better service because the cable TV went down and sometimesyou had to wait days for a tech person to come to your house..

Incredible amount of money. Yet, they never seem to have the money to improve upon or build new stadiums themselves.

The idea is you get rid of DTV and switch to YouTubeTV. Sunday Ticket will be an add-on as the NFL likes it that way.

I was under the impression that Sunday Ticket was for YouTubeTV, so regular YouTube never entered my mind.

Always wished Xfinity had the NFL. I can buy the MLB package, NHL package and NBA. I think MLB is switching to Apple??????

I agree. I watch Youtube, mostly music, and they have too many ads, but I assume that's how they pay for things. The ads could be turned off if you pay for ads free Youtube.

I had to dump DirecTV because of poor performance in windy rain and in snow storms. I got sick of needing to brush off the dish at 10 or 11 PM when sticky snow was falling and screwing up our TV watching. My cable company is Xfinity and they have been great other than cost.
