Tomlin is trying to see just how much he can get away with and keep his job.

That may be the biggest problem with the Steelers. He can do anything he wants, and knows he'll always be the Steelers HC. Expect 10 more years of the same, nothing with change as long as he's here.

That doesn’t refute what I said.

But I have also said in the past that is telling in of itself that he hasn’t started a game.

And not all chances are earned. Many players are handed the job. Trubiksy was determined to be the starter before camp ever began.

Maybe, but he earned that by having a better resume than Rudolph over the course of their careers. Tomlin even said he was looking at everything they had done, not just training camp.

Clearly, the Steelers had made up their minds about Rudolph before this offseason even began. It is why they put resources into making sure they didn't have to start him.

I think it’s Canada and his insistence on having a mobile QB. He’s just a limited OC in that he can’t seem to adapt his schemes to his players strengths.

Why do they hate Mason so much? Why didn't they trade him? Are they going to pull biotch Trubitchski.if he throws ints. What would make Tomlin be so dumb.you could always put b---ch tru. in if mason sucked.go browns knock the ratbirds down.

Hate or lack of trade has nothing to do with it. They signed him to a relatively cheap one year extension, because at that time they had no one else on the roster. . They might have that calls about him before the deadline, but doubtful.

Dumb has nothing to do with it. Mitch came off the bench in one game and lead a winning drive..last week he sucked...you see that all the time with back ups. All the nonsense talk..it's a business and they make a decision in what they feel is best for the team. Those decisions are often wrong, but it's not some back yard game where you put personal feelings into it.

It's entirely possible to pull Trub at halftime if Tomlin's gut tells him the team needs a spark.

That's how QB decisions are made for the Steelers: gas in the stomach expelled at halftime and sounding like "puuuuuulllll theeee QBBBBBBB".

That's how Pickett became the starter...

Watching this Carolina game will be like a tooth ache or constipation. Or suffering from an ingrown toenail. Pure misery.

Yeah after the season is over then I don't have a whole lot of interest in watching any other sport. I have 4 more games to watch and I am going to be fired up to watch all 4 of them.

Agreed. But i'm glad they are holding him out one more week. The other two are what they are.

Mitch the Pick he may be here next season. He's not going to get any starting looks elsewhere. Rudolph will be gone. He will be on somebody's practice squad.

What does "short leash" mean? Is it just for this game he only gets to play. Or is it that he messes up slightly and Mason comes in?

I just counted. I only have 22 beers in the house. Is that enough to get me through a Mitch start?
