How bad was the d scheme when raven had ball at their own 1 yard line?

I saw the highlight on other steelers site. OMG. OLB was line up on #2 wide reciever wide and next steelers defender was on the guard in a 3 tech for god's sake a against a tight end. Easiest blocking ever for Ravens. Down blocked the three with the tackle and then TE took inside lb and pulling guard got other ilb and no one to make tackle. Then they showed another play where Bush got easily moved out of the way on a combo block where ol double teams first which means they usually have no power but not against sucky bush. Lousy coaching by our d guru Tomlin. Bush just sucks too. Watch on steelers depot if you care to see this debacle scheme and lack of effort. worst lb in nfl bush.

it sucks - WE SUCKED. Coaching sucked, execution sucked. 3 TO's and we still could have won. PS - the Rats are not that good....

he is way too much a read and wait to get blocked linebacker. terrible. he has to go. i still say so does olsavsky. myles jack is a decent linebacker but i think we need more of an attack LB teamed with him. robinson plays that way if they don't ruin him. the scheme we use up front stinks. i said it before and i will say it again, most of the time and especially hurt TJ is a liability in the run game. for as good as he is as a player, that is one of his weak spots. another thing with our scheme is flow to the ball. terrible. gang tackle. they always get extra yards after contact against us. we need to get aggressive tackling. we don't need guys around the ball, we need guys making the play and alot of them.

This defense is soft against the run and slow against the pass.It was a problem for this defense last week too

Additionally against a 3rd string qb our DB's were playing like we needed to defend the long pass. For years it seems when we pin a team like that we do give up the easy first down and the team gets right out of the pucker factor of being on their goal line. Its uncanny but we never seem to hold a team to 3 and out in that scenario and get great field position. We needed to be stuff the run there and we seem to play scared thinking it was Brady back there that would throw over the top of our DB's and pull off the 60 yard play. Against the 3rd stringer you go run blitz but now days we just get blown off the ball and our ILB's blow!

This all starts with Tomlin. We need to change up the scheme.

The Ravens were on their 3rd string QB. When they have Jackson they are a much better team than the one we played

They also run a 6'3" 300 pound fullback who's job it is to wash out the second level guys.

This Defense hasn't been aggressive since Dick LeBeau left. Their softer than Dairy Queen Ice Cream in the middle of the Sahara Desert.

I always thought Lebeau was a scapegoat.
