Guys, Pickens touched the ball! Even in high school, the rule is, if you touch it, you can catch it. The defender was only a step behind. On a Smash concept, that corner route is the main throw there. So there really no other options. The other two routes are complimentary (to open up the corner route). It's not a fade or a deep corner where there is more room to drop it in. He touched the ball. He dropped the ball.
