I am surprised there are no Covid cases this year in the NFL?

Right now, Covid is going around here in Colorado pretty regularly. Out of the 180ish people I work with there are at least 3 or 4 people out sick everyday with Covid this last month.

I have not heard of a single positive Covid case in the NFL this year. Is it not happening, or are they just not classifying Covid different that when you see someone out with an illness?

We are still using the 5 Day's off for anyone that tests positive for Covid here in Colorado. Not sure if the NFL is doing anything about positive tests this year.

Friday Connor Heyward just popped up on the injury report with "illness"; is that what Covid looks like this year in the NFL?

    Excellent question

I’m not sure if this is good but the NFL suspended all Covid testing and protocols

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-all-covid-19-testing-protocols-for-2022/amp/

Therefore illness now is probably the flu or some other bug

I'm sure NFL players and coaches are contracting COVID at the same rate everyone else is. With no testing and no requirements for public announcement, we just don't know it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if their symptoms are a lot like mine were. Basically I had no idea and chalked up the runny nose and minor cough to allergies. It wasn’t until I poured a laphroaig and it was bland that a bell went off. Lasted about 10 days and never amounted to more than a runny nose and minor cough.

A bunch of people at my work have been out lately with the Wuhan Flu. All of them have been vaccinated and boosted.

Well, it is the regular flu season and although it would seem it vanished the past two years, it hasn't. I've had it twice and for me, I'd rather have COVID than the regular flu that does kick my ass for a few days. This is just me though and everyone is different. JMO>

My kid's doctor told me if I didn't want my daughter to test positive for covid I shouldn't have her tested.
The NFL has adopted the same policy.

I've got my yearly bout of upper respiratory infection right now. It comes on when there's a big change in weather. Usually lasts a week, sometimes two. I went to the doctor last week for an appointment I'd been waiting months for and told them, yes I have a runny nose and a cough. They made me wait outside and brought me in through a back door. Just like taking my dog to the vet!

There have been players that missed time this year due to "illness".... . Even in its height, the league wouldn't actually say COVID.... They said such player tested positive for "the virus"

I had minor symptoms in January including a sore throat but a lot of fatigue

10 months later I still feel like crap

    Long term Covid does exist

    Go Steelers

I think proof of vaccination should be required to post on here. I got a feeling Glenn isn’t up to date on his boosters.

Ever notice a lot of the people obsessed with Tomlin are also obsessed with Covid?

Fwiw, I’ve been shot twice and boosted. (Canada wouldn’t let you in until recently without the vaccine) I’ve tested positive twice but been asymptomatic both times.

I had it about a month ago. I've been vaxed and boosted. Minor symptoms for about a week, coughing, sneezing, runs, chills, loss of appetite and fatigue. I had a bout of the flu about five years ago and it kicked my a$$ for the better part of two weeks. For me, it was twice as bad as my bout with Covid.
