I guess nobody told Ben that, because he used to say dumb stuff all the time .

He was a player wasn't he? I said sometimes players say dumb stuff when they're frustrated just like Najee did.

So Najee says something dumb, and we are still blaming Ben. Some things never change.

For me frustration is no excuse. Harris is not playing well. He is dancing too much and doesn't seem to have the vision to find and hit the holes. The line isn't great, but it's hard for me to feel sympathetic toward Harris when frankly, he just isn't playing well.

I felt the same way when DJ was running his mouth. Catch the ball when it comes to you before you whine about play calling.

It's not a good look for two players that seemed to have some leadership potential. Frankly I am a little disappointed.

Posted something similar in another thread earlier. 2021 was a chance to reset with Pouncey and other moving on but they chose to try to run it back instead with predictable results.

Their mantra of going all-in every year and trying to put the best team possible on the field is admirable, but it is quite short sorted and is almost certainly hurting them at this stage IMO. There is a lot to be said for recognising where you are as a team.

There is plenty of tape showing Najee having a hole and not hitting it, or hitting the line where there is no hole. We all see him dancing and spinning instead of running.

Warren is quick and decisive and hard running. It seems he has better vision as well.

Some of Najee issues I blame on our RB coach, some on him, some on the OL and some on Canada .

He has to take ownership of his issues and work on those and let the other issues work themselves out…….hopefully…..

To deny Warren has been the better RB this year is silly.

Have no problems with what Harris said, hell, it needed to be said.

And quite frankly its obvious. There is nothing there and he is making the most of that by being among the top in broken tackles. I think only Henry has more.

Calling it now…Najee Harris is a bust. It may be because the injury is affecting him more than we think or it may be that he’s not instinctive enough as a runner to have the kind of success in the NFL that he had in college when the OL at Alabama was opening tractor-trailer sized holes for him to run through.

I’ll be happy to be proven wrong, but I think we can stop pretending that he’s the next Leveon Bell when it appears he’s closer to the next Walter Abercrombie.

Yeah well right now Najee is playing like garbage. Maybe the line should start tweeting as a group as well. Hell, it's warranted.

BTW, on a side note. Travis Etienne is lighting up the league.

He's having a bad second year, but he showed what he could do last season without much help from the OL.

Whatever the issue is ... can Najee just keep it in house?

Every week I see a wild comment from him either about his opinion of reporters or his team. Just feed them some generic answers and handle it in house or on the field.

:lolol: We’ll see who has a better career.

Fans acting like Oline play doesn’t matter. Najee is not without blame, he’d be better suited running straight ahead but there’s not a whole lot there.

Do you think Najee ever gets his career ypc over 4?

Not to argue, but You do know that almost every 2nd string Rb has a better yards per average than the 1st string, and has been that way forever. It's like comparing Claypools throwing Tds to Pickett....it's hell of a lot easier to do when Your not the one they key on. Did You not see what they've done to Warren on 1st down runs???
Now none of this is taking away from Warren....I like the kid.

    Definitely.

I’d like to see the Steelers take fixing the line seriously though, be aggressive like KC was, they fixed theirs in one offseason.

Somebody on this board compared him to Trent Richardson and I see a lot of similarities at this point.

He’s currently at 3.3 ypc this season. Will need a huge improvement to get his career number (currently 3.8) over 4.

3.3 YPC was Trent Richardson’s career numbers. Najee’s. 3.8 YPC is a foot and a half more. So far his career has been more Trent Richardson than Derrick Henry who has 4.8 career YPC.

Are you assuming he plays most of his career with another team? Because I don’t see the Steelers run blocking improving significantly in the next 3-4 years.
