I'm not the one b!tching.:lolol: SDOT is negative 90% of the time. That's his thing. He does troll us to an extent, but it's Steeler related, and most of the time it sparks entertaining conversation. You can say what you want but dude takes a beating in most of his threads. I don't see him starting threads calling out other members. (Well he does stock Glenn) SDOT has been here since 2016. You have been here for 15 minutes. Know your roll and STFU.

Anyone with eyeballs who has watched the Steelers this year could tell you the blame lies on the offensive side of the football. I credit Flores for helping to ready the defense in playing quite well the last 3 weeks, minus Watt. 0 points given up in the second half down only 6 should be winning football.

Other then Buffalo I think the defense is doing ok considering no Watt tough to win getting 10 points a game their 10 offensive plays they run are a joke and they should trash them and start over!!!

I think Flores and Austin should have the DB's go through more pass catching drills (maybe include the LB's).

Canada should go, seems like other coaches are starting to catch flak for the mess coming from the inept offense.

Ask yourself when opposing players are running wide open down the center of field.
C'mon man, what the F is going on.

Without Watt, they had one guy who was a safe bet, Highsmith. That's it. Bush was terrible last year. Spillane is too slow. Jack was transitioning to a new defense after a down year in Jacksonville. Reed was bad enough that they were playing Leal out of position until he got hurt, too.

That group has gotten better as the season has gone on. The defensive scheme puts those inside linebackers in impossible situations, but are we really going to blame Flores because he couldn't turn Robert Spillane into Jack LamberT?

Because that is what has been happening to this defense for years?

Where are the adjustments? Too little too late.

After three possessions, it looked like the Dolphins might score 40 points. They scored three the rest of the way, and they wouldn't have gotten that field goal if Sutton could catch the damn ball. They adjustments came in time to hold Miami to 16 points in the game. That's too little, too late? Or is it people like you inexplicably blaming the defense for the offense's failures?

No, I agree adjustments were made. But this happens week after week. More work needs to be done
    before the games start.

When you put the group under the microscope, with the talent they have that is a drop off of what we've seen even the recent past, he's got the group playing somewhat better than they are. You used Reed, Reed actually played a better game than I've seen from him. So, the point would be that yes, he can coach and he doesn't have the Steel Curtain to work with.

It is amazing how folks will jump on coaching as if they had any idea what a "3 by 1" is. There is a ton of misinformation on the web doing game analysis.

No, I have a solid understanding of what he has to work with and how he has to blend his coaching to match the defensive design/plan that Austin wants.
TJ and Jack are the only two I would build from. Spillane is smart (he is a player) but as mentioned, a little slow for this game.
I am seeing some spark from Bush, but he is nowhere near the trajectory he was on that rookie year.
This group needs speed injected to free up TJ. Highsmith is average

No doubt, and the head coach and defensive coordinator should absolutely be held accountable for the defense not being prepared at the start of the game.

I think Highsmith is a little better than that, but he certainly isn't good enough to be the guy. Right now he is a very good Robin trying to be Batman and he can't quite pull it off.

    Yeah, something along those lines.
I try to see the ceiling on players, he is getting sacks but doesn't seem to be able to get those clutch pressure/sacks (ala Batman)
I don't like to see him in coverage.
TJ's return should help him a lot and maybe gives us a true value? (at 6'4" ~250, he's a good size LB)

Held the Patriots to 17 points held Miami to 16 points.

80-90 % of the time you win those games in the NFL.

Score points. Not sure how we finger point Flores for losing to Patriots and Dolphins

In this thread you have told me to run in the street and eat rocks, and called me a maggot for drama. This tells me two things.

#1. You are absolutely awful at coming up with insults. Maggot for drama???? LOL Really?

#2. I'm just not sure you are mature enough to have a conversation with grown folks.

For the record you called out other long time members of this site twice. I called you out for it once. There is an ignore button you can use to block those you do not wish to interact with. Multiple negative threads about the same topic can get annoying. But constant threads and posts complaining about is equally annoying.

And you came at me twice. Don't get upset when you someone gets tired of you coming at that multiple times.

Like I said go look in the mirror..... I made "one" thread and you're feathers got ruffled. While benny had 5. Then I come here and "you" elected to come at me.

Because he was supposed to be HC quality. Apparently the league was treating him poorly. We got a HC mind at LB coach. It was considered a steal.

He knows the inner workings of both those organizations. He should know how to beat them.

Also, Steelers stuck their neck out for a coach suing the league. Steelers doing poorly benefits their lawsuit with Flores. Honestly this is all the proof they need. Look, he can’t help the Steelers beat two teams he has extensive knowledge on. He’s not very good. That’s why nobody wanted him as a HC.

Knowing how to beat an opponent and having the players to pull it off are two different things. Also, you expected a coaching advantage over Belichick? That's your standard of success? You're funny.
