Way too predictable. Some rookie mistakes in the game but it always takes us 15 plays to put together a scoring drive. No imagination on route formation. We won 7 games last year out of 9 because Ben had to throw away the playbook in the 4th quarter and draw up plays in the dirt. We have too much talent to always score under 20 every game. I don't know how much longer the Steelers can justify keeping Canada and his donkey offense in play.

They were showing one replay on the second to last drive that just summed up the problem with Canada's game plan. They had guys back in zone coverage and every single route was in front of those defenders. No one was trying to get open in soft spots. No quick hitters when defenders were backing up. No disguise no nothing. So vanilla it hurts.

Every pass is a combat catch, but Miami had 5 yards separation multiple times all gme.

I'd love to see a dual back look. Fake it to Warren and give it to Harris or God forbid you put Watt in and fake it to him. A novel idea would be put Pickens and Claypool outside run Dj on the slant in the slot and then hit Muth on a seam or out to the sideline. But nope none of that.

Steelers will sign Canada long term next year maybe after a few 3-15 seasons they’ll assess things

Steelers WR's get ZERO separation. I watch a lot of other teams even the ****ty ones (like us), and their WR's get open. You have to throw the ball perfectly for them and they have to make a tough catch every time because they're always completely blanketed by their opponents DB's. It's like something out of the Twilight Zone.

I thought the 3rd and 1 sneak play where Boykin was in and got the illegal shift penalty was completely unnecessary to run. Just run a normal 3rd and 1 play and that play or penalty doesn’t happen. You gotta help Pickett out some more if your Canada and this running game and Najee Harris. Sure the interceptions by Kenny Pickett were not good but the offense and Matt Canada has to help Kenny out and they just aren’t doing it enough.

The offensive play calling is bad. But it's Kenny Picket throwing the ints. Not Canada. At some point he needs to be able to read the field and find the open receiver. That last int was ridiculous. Yes the guy made a nice catch but the it should never have been thrown. I think he will learn but right now he's playing like a rookie.

I agree it was a bad pass. But there's zero margin for error in Canada's offense. They didn't even try to push the ball downfield until late in the game when the defense knew we had to. Kenny's TD to INT ratio is bad but several were not on Pickett. A hail Mary and three that bounced off concrete WR hands. This offense will struggle to reach 20 points in a game. It doesn't matter if HOFer Ben is QB or Mitch or Kenny or Mahomes is QB. We are more talented than the bottom 5% of the league. We're more talented than the bottom 25%. I'm not saying we should be top ten but there's no excuse for this offense to be anything less than top 20.

No kidding. Miami's WR's in the 1st qtr were playing pitch and catch with Tua and no one around them. Why can't we do something like that? It tightened up later on, but it looked like a potential blowout early. Another issue that is killing the Offense is the f'ing penalties, especially late drives to go ahead. These are putting KP in a position that he shouldn't have to be in. JMO>

That second to last drive he called 8 or 9 straight pass plays. The one run 2 he called went for 9 yards. Then a crap load of shifting for a qb sneak. Seriously!??

100000 percent correct!!!No QB Will be successful in this offense...No sense of urgency until games on the line and the defense knows your throwing...no creativity...we run a high school offense

You may have something. You have to crawl before you can run. Maybe they need to simplify?

So, the Dolphins had zero points as well. I guess they should fire their offensive coordinator as well?

Kenny is learning that he can’t make certain marginal throws in the NFL because the guys are that much better than college.

saw some saying he’s not reading the field. That’s objectively false. On more than one occasion, you can see him making his progression reads. Problem is the offense is so predictable, opponents just sit on the route until the ball is thrown.

hell the 3rd INT. Deep receiver that side is making a sideline out break and DJ is supposed to do a comeback short of the sticks? Safety just waited until the ball was coming out and made his break. Nothing about those routes put any of those DBs in conflict!

The other side didn’t matter either because they were out breaking as well.

The steelers have only 1 second half TD in 5 games(and 20 points total)in the game that the steelers don't change the QB at one point in the game

Last year, the number of our offense would been more brutal if it would not been the 4th quarter when they had the second most points in this quarter because Ben could called the play...Now he is gone, this offense is brutal, start to finish

Canada has to have a feel for the game and help Pickett out more in certain situations and he just doesn’t have it. Yea the Pickett INT’s aren’t good and he has to be better but Canada has to help him out more and not force him to be perfect and he just doesn’t do it. Pickens had I think 2 or 3 targets the entire 2nd half and that’s just not good enough for as talented as Pickens is. Canada needs to go I mean enough is enough. He does not put the offense in any good situations to win games. Things are not gonna get better with this guy and there is just no hope and no reason to keep him around. Pickett needs to be much better in crunch time when the game is on the line but Canada does Kenny no favors at all and it’s time for him to go.

George Pickens needs 15 targets a game. seriously. He's our only elite talent on offense. He's the best WR on the team and you can tell he has the skills to be one of the BEST in the NFL. He has top 5 WR talent.

Dan Orvloski a very reputable NFL talking head is convinced Steelers only run 10 offensive plays I won’t pretend to know what that means

    10 is probably pushing it

    1. Run up the middle
    2. Run up other side of the middle
    3. WR run
    4. Chuck it up Flacco Style on 3rd and 1
    5. Short throw to Najee that has no chance
    6. Everyone runs towards sideline and if its caught get 5-6 yards
    7. Run up the other side of the middle slightly more to the other side
    8. Once a game maybe throw a back shoulder pass to Pickens

I'm sure there is a Dolphin message board out there and I sure the hell hope they don't have threads touting their dominating defense. I Understand these are lean times we have to withstand but man that was tough to watch.
