More than Micah Parson's more than Myles Garrett at the moment.

Too bad he made such a nice forced fumble sack on Tom Brady Sunday and no one recovered it.

His feet are quick and his spin move is kind of something. Think he is also learning to arm (bar) leverage people better than he used too.

His tackling Stats are also very good.

With the way he is playing its too bad TJ went down. You be seeing an Lloyd and Greene or a Harrison and Woodley pairing going at it after the QBs.

Happy for Highsmith. I know there hasn't been a lot of bright spots on defense so far this year, but I think Highsmith is definitely one of them. He has taken a huge step forward this year.

He's a perfect example of a guy who takes a few seasons to really hit his full potential. The kind of draft pick you really need to be patient with.

I know people roll their eyes when I claim that the Steelers would have at least two more wins with Watt healthy, but I don't think they realize just how good that pass rush is with everybody healthy. Not many lines can hold up to Watt and Highsmith on the edge with Heyward inside.

Highsmith's spin move is special. Sure, he gets caught and stuck in the middle of it sometimes, but that is difficult to do. He actually accelerates through the spin.

Not to start tangential fights with other fans but who in their right mind rolls their eyes at the fact that yes they would have at least 2 wins let alone trying to debate that they wouldn't? In an uncertain world there are things that you can count on and Watt's impact is one of those. You are right on point with that assertion.

Your new avatar makes me want to turn that clock back several decades with my two grown daughters. My 7 yr old granddaughter helps with that magic though. You've got a true cutie there FTB. And the uni is a winner! :thumbs up:

I don't want to be a negative Nancy..I like Highsmith...but he has 3.5 sacks on the season when he's not playing opposite of a DPOY (against a suspect Bengals line). I don't expect that he'll stay atop the list by seasons end.

A better judge of where he is, is to wait till the end of the season, throw out his outlier games - highest one game sack total, and lowest one game sack total, and look at his average/game. Right now he'd be sitting around 13 sacks on the season if we were to take that logic right now and apply it. Which compared to last year would put him 10th in sack totals. The other thing I'd think of is how many more snaps/opportunities is he getting due to our offence not sustaining drives? I'd say good player...most likely a 8-10 sack guy. With some plus side and can give top of second tier OLB production when paired with an elite pass rusher on the opposite side.

    love the guy

he was one that really sprung to life late last year and I expected great things this year - we are seeing it and he'd be that much better if TJ was on the on the field. Kid is really good.....

I don't think it is fair to ignore what he did under good circumstances either. Other pass rushers also get games against poor offensive lines.

I don't see Highsmith as the best pass rusher in the NFL or anything like that, but it is fair to say he is a very good one who might rise to a Pro Bowl level as he continues to diversify his game. He is being asked to do a lot as the defense falls apart around him and he is holding up very well.

Although I am heterosexual, I am comfortable in announcing my love for Highsmith.
If only Watt and Highsmith could dance together on sacks....preview of the things to come?

Quietly he is having a solid season. I liked the pick and he has shown his worth. Run defense is solid as well. Only his 3rd year.

    I see double digit sacks.
