This board has numerous Steelers medical personnel on here.

I don't want to whip out the play by play... I think you know what I am pointing to.
At best, he was the Trubisky we hoped to see, there where plays in-between where he looked to regress to bad Trubisky.
He gives me the look and feel of a Charlie Batch or Michael Vick type of backup.
I'm not giving him anymore kudos than that. He got us a win, that's what we expect.

They have to stick with Pickett now once he’s healthy. Pulling him could hurt his confidence and he’ll develop better on the field.

I did love how Trubisky looked though. He was confident, pushed the ball down the field and looked comfortable in the pocket - completely different from how he looked the first few weeks. Not sure if it’s the offensive playcalling, or him just letting it fly because he has nothing to lose now.

Thinking of a scenario that would have this board do a meltdown. What if Mitch starts next game and plays horrible and then gets knocked out with Mason as backup and he has a HOF type game? Who gets helmets from that point on?

I keep running across this clown Madden.
    He says:
Does he not watch the game? Maybe golf is better a better sport for him.
Mitch can regress to old Mitch pretty quick.
I would agree that yes, Mitch Trubisky did play the best Qtr and 1/2 we've seen from him. There's no question.
Mitch was always a holding Spot for Kenny, provided Kenny showed those signs that he could run this team. (He has)
I think Mitch is a good option coming off the bench, maybe even that is his best fit.

I have no idea how bad of a concussion KP has but it reminded me of when MR got his head banged up and some would say it effected his play afterwards. So, is it possible that the same could happen to KP after his first injury as an NFL pro? Did he have something similar at Pitt that he bounced back from? Just wondering.

I was right there by the sidelines where he came off the field. He did not have that 'dazed look' that I have seen on some.
But you never know with these things.

I am on the fence about this. I agree both sides have valid points and that is why I am not a coach. I agree Mitch is a great bu QB which he ended up being after leaving CHI and going to the Bills and finally here, where he lost the starting role again. He is so inconsistent and you're right about good Mitch flipping to bad Mitch is a heartbeat. If Mitch continues to win, that's if he is able to continue starting, my philosophy is don't fix something that isn't broken. But that hurts KP's development. So, I'm stuck right there. JMO>

Yes it would probably melt down, but I'll go out on a limb that no one is gonna have a HOF type game with Matt Canada let alone Mason Rudolph should he enter the game.

I just don't understand the negativity. I don't think he should be starting. This needs to be Pickett's team going forward, but we can also acknowledge how Trubisky produced.

What puzzles me is, where is this negativity?
I am not negative on him; I am actually impressed that he finally did what we expected all along.
If I were handing out game balls, I would hand him a game ball for a good performance for coming in as a backup and getting us a W.
His 3rd and 15 PASS though was something we were not seeing (though he could not sustain that drive off that momentum changing catch - something I've knocked him for all along.)
I simply see him as a Charlie Batch/Mike Vick kind of guy. Someone who was drafted to be a franchise QB but wasn't quite that and is quality backup now.

True but I think that was more a result of Bridgewater's up and down play as opposed to the Vikings being the better team. Corner they had on Thielen mugged him all game except for the go ahead score and even then had good positioning. Fins moved the ball well just off when they needed it. You give up 177 yards to one guy you don't typically win.

Mark Madden is a useless, fat, diabetes having heart attack waiting to happen POS.
He says anything to get ratings and he's well aware of what to say to get attention and clicks.
He's an overweight Howard Stern wannabe (when Howard was actually good).
The sooner his health conditions take him off of the air, the better Pittsburgh radio will be.

I guess I should have put a disclaimer... about not being a doctor. lol.
I remember the look on Mason's face, he was gone...
    Kenny didn't even seem foggy.
I worry in today's NFL, the concussion deal is a really sensitive topic. It should be.

To take from personal experience, I remember in my playing days, one of my first college practices, dropping back to pass and DE nick-named "Tree" clocked me
from the blind side. There wasn't anything done special, just some smelling salts and get back out there.
My best friend was the center, he said I was never there, just a blank stare and going through the motions.
I am glad that now days, that wouldn't be the case.
My wife will probably tell you, "Oh yeah, he's brain damaged." and probably cite off a number of examples.

I thought Trubisky played phenomenal yesterday. Like a top 5 QB. Can he repeat that? I don't know, but now we know what he is capable of. The ceiling went all the way up.

Mitch came in and played his @ss off. If he did this in the beginning of the season we might not have seen the QB change.

That being said they should stay with Pickett. He is the future.

I was always told that a concussion caused by the back of the head hitting a hard surface is always the worst to recover from vs one caused by an off angle strike. i believe Kenny has the the intangible it factor (generally being decisive), however a little trend is developing where he is locking in on Pickens and seemingly not seeing DJ or Claypool which might be understandable if he lacks confidence in their route running or hands. Also passes are starting to be high which I used to think Ben was prone to alot. I understand throwing where only your receiver can get it but that is something to watch. As for Canada, he flat out is terrible. We get one successful run and its if he thinks he found the Holy Grail and goes right back to it. Note to Canada our run blocking sucks and your timing when do you employ it blows arse. 2nd note to Canada, the middle of the field isn't a minefield, can we get some routes there and use some clear out routes and other NFL schemes to open up areas to throw to. Why we don't replace Canada immediately is beyond me, it would be like an old school camp where the games would be like practices with pads back in the day to learn the new offense. Lastly winning was great but to me (I hate to say this) I think it bought time for Canada and cooled Tomlin's seat a bit. Every Coach runs out his time with a team and I would be all in on a new regime coming in at the end of the year as I think Tomlin's time is done.

Writing that he was up to his usual crap sounds negative to me.

The version of Vick we saw as a Steeler would have lost that game.

    Hmmm, interesting.
It wasn't intended to hurt anyone's feelings.
When I saw Kenny laying there. My initial reaction was, "Oh geeze, here we go with 3rd and 5 and Mitch tossing a 1-yard dump"
    That is his usual crap.
He did have a few of his usual crap plays, but by admission and from everyone I've heard, he overcame those.
Mr. Claypool deserves some credit too.
At best, I can concede a "cautiously optimistic' point of view. I don't want to see that bad Mitch again.

He just lives to stir up ****. He’s a complete blowhard whos opinion means zilch to me.

He also strikes me as someone that has a problem with youth, or youth that garners too much attention. He absolutely hates JuJu and has an unhealthy obsession with him. I can see how the attention and adoration that Pickett receives would get under his skin.
